  1. On a scale of "a student could do this" to "the gods themselves would weep in awe", how difficult would be be to take a blood sample (or similar) and use that to create/incubate/whatever the proper word is a living genetically identical duplicate of someone? The clone does not have to be magically aged up to match their donor's natural age, if that makes any difference. If accomplishing this is within human limits exactly how horrifically illegal is it (at least I'd assume that it is), and is it illegal more for political/religious reasons (I.E. people growing their own Catherine Chard copies/replacements would quickly turn messy and/or the Temple flips tables at the idea of people intruding upon the sacred duties of the gods, or some such) or more because it's (believed/assumed to be) so close to Gates magic that it ends up falling under that umbrella/required actual Gates magic outright?
  2. IIRC it's six time slots per day, three of which are available and three of which are hidden?
  3. Does Gorithnak (and I guess minotaurs by extension?) have a last name? If so is his last name known among the faculty/student body, or does everyone just know him as Gorithnak?
  4. Oh yeah, it's getting close to that time of year again isn't it? I need to pay closer attention to the calender 🙃.
  5. Does the side gate of the Academagia have any special name and/or history like the Great Gate does, or is it just "the side gate"?
  6. Is vampirism something that can be cured (other than the more technical and less practical cure of "actual death"), and if lycanthropy or other similar curses can be caused by infections or what have you, can those conditions be cured?
  7. Actually surprising. You'd think that the dev team fully mastered all forms of [redacted] long ago .
  8. How faux pas would it be for a bard or storyteller or what have you to tell stories in a public location about Icanicix/Kazus, as in the historic figures from the First Captivity, doing what they are famed for? Obviously no spells would be described beyond the broadest of terms, and assume that the stories paint them in a "what they (allegedly) did was honestly kinda immoral in hindsight, but they were fighting a literal war against dragons in those days, so they didn't have much choice either" type of light.
  9. So I vaguely recall the...I think it was the bat familiar bond adventure where the PC encounters a vampire out and about during daytime - how hard it is for vampires to be active during the daytime, and how deadly is sunlight to them?
  10. Mental Note: Do a "read all the lores" run sometime in the future .
  11. Funnily enough I'm currently working on (and failing to finish) an adventure involving Isabeau helping her mentor find said mentor's missing father.
  12. That is a remarkable amount of progress on the second point, and yet a very suspicious lack thereof at the same time .
  13. Has Isabeau ever expressed any interest in figuring out who her father is?
  14. That and the fact that the market for strategy guides kinda had the rug pulled from under it when this thing called "internet" started to gain traction. You may have heard of it
  15. Does Mineta have something similar to Roman numerals, even if they're no longer used in the modern day?
  16. Circle of Doubt, stage 8: Stages where the player is given the option to disagree, but the PC has to be convinced for the plot to work, are always difficult. Trying to anticipate what arguments would work for that? Never easy. Also since it's done already, Circle of Doubt, stage 9: Perhaps a bit of an abrupt ending, but it's the end of Corradin's show, and the adventure was ultimately focussed on him.
  17. Circle of Doubt, stage 7: Maybe not the most accurate interpretation of Corradin's character, but he's one of those students who's character is largely told and not shown in Y1, so I feel like I've got some room to play around in .
  18. Circle of Doubt, stage 6: It never ceases to amaze me how these stages often end up interconnected like they are.
  19. Circle of Doubt, stage 5: We've reached the point where things ended up significantly differently from how they were initially, so if there's any continuity errors, there you go.
  20. Circle of Doubt, stage 4: This adventure will mostly focus on Corradin specifically, so in terms of requirements I was thinking high relationship with him at a minimum. Maybe some other stuff, but definitely that.
  21. Circle of Doubt, stage 3: I don't plan for the Gossip options to be a "succeed or the adventure breaks" situation, even if it reads that way.
  22. Circle of Doubt, stage 2: I would like to thank my many years of meaningful French study Google Translate for bringing us this stage .
  23. You can technically apply Love to people through a Pheme, if you're persistent enough...though I make no promises as to how long that'll last come Y2 .
  24. Been a while since my prior idea for an adventure fell flat, but this one has not. Circle of Doubt, stage 0: Inspiration for this adventure is...a long story, let's just put it that way. It's kinda sorta related to Big Dreams of the Small Familiar, in a way, technically...but not a way that makes sense to the casual observer. Or to someone reading the adventures, I presume. Circle of Doubt, stage 1: Updates to this one may be slow and/or delayed because I'm currently in the middle of a cold, but on the flipside I have gotten more prepwork done for this adventure than the previous...I can't even remember how many, so there's that.
  25. None that come to mind, it has been a while since I actually played a game of Academagia, but in general it's worth looking at what opportunities you have to learn skills - spells and Phemes are ways to become informed of skills, specific adventure steps can prove useful, the odd action/ability, keep an eye open for what options you have. Now is a skill level of 1 going to save you in a difficult adventure stage? No, but being informed of a skill means you can buff it, means you can directly train it, use tricks to make training easier, etc. It's not the most optimal solution, but given time it's an effective solution. The problem you describe does definitely exists, and in part for that reason I don't value skill steps as much as attributes or other benefits. If I wanted skill steps I could match wits with the Emperor's Sphinx and be very likely to get at least two, if not three steps in one time slot (with caveats, admittedly) anyway. That said adventures do have their own benefits, so I prefer them over spamming training abilities - later adventures also tend to be easier and more often are multi-staged in one time slot compared to earlier adventures, as well, so that's something to keep in mind.
