  1. Fair enough, but what about Ships like The Enterprise and Warspite? They were scrapped out over years.
  2. This leads me to another question, and if it has been answered already I must have missed it. What about the Belle's that have no Death Date? Like, say, The Texas (BAM another mention) Or The Lexington CV-16 or any number of Museum ships around the world?
  3. Seems a waste too. In sheer power the Yamato ships are outstanding. But service records, especially the Yamato herself, aren't really that impressive.
  4. The Cv-16 only became the Lexington after the CV-2 had been sank and the Shipyard hands where she was built wanted to rename the Cabot to Lexington in her honor. I feel that should also be important to the CV-16 Belle. So I too hope for distinct Belles for both of them. But I've said it before and I'll say it again, all of this just makes me more interested in what BCS is going to do. Lipstig; Yes exactly that.
  5. Ah Lady Lex. The first (in this time period) Lexington. Makes me wonder, knowing the real ships fate, if the Cv-16 is going to be a separate Belle entirely, a separate version of the Lady Lex Belle, or an Upgrade to the current Belle.
  6. Now I feel really out of place. But I've been in a certain mood so I'll just leave this right here.
  7. I guess today I just want to hear some thing like this.
  8. thanks to W99 I've had this in my head all week. Today seems appropriate to share. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1Ufc2hI4FM
  9. I see what you did there... But I guess better a Cowgirl than a roughneck? eh.
  10. The personality options are great. But I still cringe at the expected Howdy and I reckon from Texas.
  11. Yes. And very few things are a scary as a group of old ladies who have set their mind to something.
  12. It may only be their Rigs that identify them as sister ships. But Kancolle likes to make them wear similar clothes too. I hope VB doesn't do that.
  13. Yeah... A lot of great ships have gone to scrape because they are hard to maintain as museum pieces, along with many other reason. Even the Enterprise went to scrap having won 20 battle stars. What a waste of great history.
  14. I've been wondering about some of the Belles. Six Warships are recognized for having fought in both World Wars and survived to this day. The surviving vessels that hold the distinction of serving in both World Wars are the Medea, which served both the French Navy and Royal Navy, British Monitor HMS M33, the British Light Cruiser HMS Caroline, Greek Armored Cruiser Georgios Averof, the Drazki a Bulgarian torpedo boat and of course my beloved Texas dreadnought. It seems to me they should be a bit older and more experienced and maybe make comments like "Well, back in '17..." They have been in large scale wars before.
  15. No, she was dead before this and nothing was going to stop her from sinking. The scuttling was more shooting a horse to put it out of it's misery. The ship was practiacally dismantled in a vicious way by the British fleet. They took losing the Hood hard. But since we are saying nice things about the Bismark I'll just leave this right here. After the sinking, Admiral John Tovey said, "The Bismarck had put up a most gallant fight against impossible odds worthy of the old days of the Imperial German Navy, and she went down with her colours flying."
