  1. @Legate of Mineta: 1. Is studying Bassan with extreme intensity considered suspicious in the Empire of Man, as evidence either of Gates magic or of sympathy for the Oursukis? 2. Does the Schohanwicht actively seek out the latest Bassan-language research about Gates magic from the Oursuki Empire? Is such research being produced?
  2. OK, but if negation is used upon a thesis, negation can reveal flaws in the thesis, correct? I assume that the signs of the thesis's weakness which the spell would create for the caster would be rather difficult to understand unless 1 were knowing dialectic, right?
  3. So Negation can serve as an equivalent to the True Seeing Spell from Dungeons and Dragons and can be used upon the mind also? Is that the correct understanding?
  4. 1. Any luck in seeking answers in the Archives? 2. How does applying negation magic to a thesis reveal it to be true or false? Does it reveal to the caster the thesis's flaws? I know that it is magic, but magic has definitive effects in all other areas of this setting, and I am curious what the effects are here. 3. Is there some type of legendary or fictional or real book associated with forbidden magic in the public consciousness in the Empire of Man, akin to the Necronomicon or Liber juratus Honorii?
  5. Punch Club 2's demo was released recently, and from playing it and reading its reviews, I think that it is vastly better than its prequel - and is now more similar to Academagia. What other games, after all, allow players to study martial arts and law while earning money in strange jobs and dealing with a setting where powerful barely understood forces (superscience in Punch Club 2) have changed the world?
  6. @Legate of Mineta: In my adventure "Skill in Brewing", all appearances of the phrase "focus on a love of brewing with assuming that I was trying to flirt with you." should be "focus on a love of brewing without assuming that I was trying to flirt with you." In my adventure "Learning Aklo 00", all appearances of the phrase "you think that you may count yourself lucky if Uliva’s desires may be the sort which would lead her and you to be executed if caught." should be "you think that you may count yourself lucky if Uliva’s desires may be the sort which would not cause her and you to be executed if caught."
  7. @Legate of Mineta: 5. Would it be fair to say that Zoe or her family have been targetted by medical quacks trying to cure her and her mother?
  8. @Legate of Mineta: 1. What is this student's name? Finding a random event is so difficult for me. 2. What is her familiar's name? 3. How common are gorillas in Mineta? 4. Does the Vernin Student with disabilities have cerebral palsy? If not, why can she not walk?
  9. I hope that you regard that description as appropriate.
  10. So, I thought that you may find interesting the following update. I have completed over 22,000 words of the novel, and I thought that you all might find interesting the following description of Sima Venesico from it: "Sima’s mysteriousness is subtle rather than the type of mysteriousness which many narratives discuss. By this, I mean that Sima is neither the type of mysterious person to skulk about in inconspicuous or concealing clothing, nor to constantly drop hints about her mysteriousness. Only when one gets to know Sima better than the average person would know her does one learn that she is mysterious and secretive – and her mysteriousness is only in not answering the many major questions which her behaviour and her claims and her possessions raise to other people rather than in openly claiming mysteriousness or projecting an aura of implicit mysteriousness through bizarre and obvious practises which any person might notice. For the average person, Sima is just a beautiful and rather witty – in every good sense of that word – girl."
  11. Choice of Games has released "Royal Affair" with the following description: "At your exclusive boarding school, will you rule the roost or be a royal disaster? Court publicity, sway the fate of nations, and find love!"
  12. @Legate of Mineta: Has any progress in this been made?
  13. Gods and men, but I just really want to write something about this for a future Academagia game for Sima Venesico. So, I have the following questions, which almost certainly are relevant: 1. What does this scriptorium look like - or is supposed to look like? 2. How widely known is the description of this scriptorium? That is, does the average person, upon hearing about this scriptorium, assume that it has any distinguishing features, akin to how the average person might associate the term "alien" with certain distinctive features? 3. Do the non-satyr fay have their own writing system(s)? If so, are they taught in Hedi College?
  14. @Legate of Mineta: So, here is a suggestion for at least one of the later games' summer vacation periods. An adventure in which the player character and two or three friends (so perfect for the triplets if you want) decide to rent a cabin and spend some time camping in the wilderness. The complications could inclue persuading parents to let them do it, raising the money and arranging transportation, ands then what happens when at the cabin. I am thinking that nosy intruders (especially if the PC is nobel or has a reputation for being on the prowl) could be a problem, as could the PC's possible involvement in illegal magic - and perhaps a desire to reveal it to someone.
  15. Many thanks. GOG has really expanded what it sells now.
  16. @Legate of Mineta: Is there any taboo around wearing vests in the South? I think, for example, about taboos surrounding Turbans in parts of North America because they are associated with feared and dispised cultures.
  17. How widely known are such rumours? Are they the sort of thing which an averge person in Mineta, an average scholar at the Academagia, or only someone with mysterious sources of information and interest in forbidden magic (such as Sima Venesico or Lambert Cobo if he were lucky), would know about?
  18. @Legate of Mineta: It is possible, through mastery and/or Gates, to switch minds and bodies completely and permanantly?
  19. I thought that Carol was male - according to cut content in Y1. Has that been changed, or is my memory tricking me? 1. Related to that, has there been any research about the relationship bewtween the bodies of mages and the bodies of familiars? In Dungeons and Dragons, there was a rule saying that mages of certain sizes must have familiars of certain sizes. Obviously, no such strict rule exists in Cyve - hence humans with elephant and spider familiars - but have similar things been researched or speculated about? Zoe is very small and frail, after all... 2. Have any mages had familiars which are so small as to be nearly invisible, if not outright invisible without microscopic vision?
  20. I am impressed, and I hope that I can buy a playable copy of that game in order to help. I assume, though, that that is why my latest questions about Academagia have not been answered yet.
  21. @Legate of Mineta: Has any major progress been made in the game this month?
  22. Archmage Rises is a fascinating game in development - which is fully turn-based! And Punch Club 2 is being released this year! I hope that Acadmagia's 2 is also developing well.
