1) If a found out that a student have a good understanding of all pillars despite only had 1 or even non of them as class would this be trigger a investigation how the student got this knowledge?

2) If we want to take a class in year 2 that have a requirement we didn't take as class in year 1 do we have to study for the test if we can take this class?

3) Will some NPC student told at the start of year 2 to best change to a different college because their grades are to bad for their own college?

For 1, not in Y1. The Legate already said that a level of 10-11 is within the ability of self study. Most of your skill beyond that is through magic items so again not that interesting. If we get them all, we'll be 'watched with interest' though I doubt anything will come with that... Apart from if you get caught with Gates or Mastery knowledge...

for 2, we've already been told that we need to take a competency test, which may or may not be an exam on the classes prerequisites, although we've also been told that there will be a limit to this, sadly.

1. How much legal research into magically-based hypnotism (using glamor, for example) goes on? is such research legal? and even if legal, is it surrounded by taboos because of strong association with mastery?

2. Is there a deliberate effort to keep people in the Empire from knowing about the madness of Oursouk's mages?

3. Do the Oursouki speak Bassan?

4. Are some students ever sent to Academagia with their fees paid by their home towns, with an agreement that after they complete their educations, they must work in their home towns for some years?

Schwarzbart;

As Free noted. As long as they aren't Gates or Mastery, it would be of interest, but no serious action taken.

2) If we want to take a class in year 2 that have a requirement we didn't take as class in year 1 do we have to study for the test if we can take this class?

Also, as Free noted. :)

3) Will some NPC student told at the start of year 2 to best change to a different college because their grades are to bad for their own college?

Not at the beginning of Y2.

Rhi;

It's hard to say how much occurs, but it is 'legal', although interpretations of what crosses the line may differ.

2. Is there a deliberate effort to keep people in the Empire from knowing about the madness of Oursouk's mages?

No.

3. Do the Oursouki speak Bassan?

Bassan is a common language there, but they speak a number of languages, all mostly unrelated to one another.

4. Are some students ever sent to Academagia with their fees paid by their home towns, with an agreement that after they complete their educations, they must work in their home towns for some years?

Absolutely! Some of your classmates fall into this category in Year 1. :)

1. Does Aranaz College (or its regent) have a special relationship with the Emperor Sphinx? because Aranaz's emblems include a sphinx.

2. Are there any polar bears in Mineta (even in zoos or as dead specimens in collections)? I ask because of Morvidus's shield's showing a white bear.

Just started playing again, the new interface is awesome. :)

On the subject of luck.

3. Is it rare for someone to be lucky enough for it to be noticeable?

4. Does "normal" people sometimes exhibit unusual luck or does it mostly cling to wizards?

5. The pure luck skill seems magical in nature, is it considered to be such by wizards? And if so, has it been studied as a magical discipline?

6. Could an untrained person teach himself to be lucky (as per the pure luck skill) or is that mostly viable for people who are already "chosen" or some such (like the player character).

7. Can a very lucky person be measured to be that, sort of like the aura practicing wizards develop?

No. Or if it does, it's unknown.

No, although in the far northern isles it's not unknown to see white bears in the high mountains. These may not be the same bears, of course.

Dream;

Yes.

Can be anyone. :)

Astrology, as isadorbg notes, is closest to that.

6. Could an untrained person teach himself to be lucky (as per the pure luck skill) or is that mostly viable for people who are already "chosen" or some such (like the player character).

Hmmm...train themselves? No, not really.

7. Can a very lucky person be measured to be that, sort of like the aura practicing wizards develop?

Yes. :)

1. What are some stereotypes surrounding colleges? I know that on the forum there were/are users who see Morvidus as the college of dark mages, Godina is in-game assumed to be the college of fighters, male students who are associated with Avila are in-game assumed to be either seducers or rather effeminate, and Vernin is seen in-game and on-forum as the college for artists. But what are in-universe stereotypes surrounding Durand or Morvidus? And what about Aranaz, with its lack of current pillar and only recently having acquired history as a core subject?

2. How common is it for Morvidus students to secretly train new animals? Does Morvidus have a set policy for how to deal with such animals if they cause no trouble?

3. Do colleges ever have tension in terms of funding/program focus between competing aspects of a college? Such as Morvidus with Zoology/familiar care and revision, or Durand with botany and negation?

Most of the stereotypes that surround the colleges, at least those on the forums, come from just one of two students that everyone remembers, even if they're very much the exception and not the rule. Like, show me a Morvidus student that can uphold the reputation that Joana and Philippe have given the college. The closest I can think of is Vettor, and he's a juvenile prankster who's still at the age where he thinks dousing his crush with water is an acceptable form of flirting. Hardly "dark mage" level stuff there.

Morvidius the college of dark mages. wat ?

From where this comes from ? I mean really the Friendship is Treasure college ?

But on Aranaz and Durand. Well Durand main thing is blandness. As for Aranaz they are well full of envious student. A bit like their regents. And you probably do not want to live in their girl dorms. Lot of "character" they have there.

And Vernin is not (only) the college of Artists. It's the college of talented. Crafters, wealthy and in general autonomous student have their place here.

Whatever you can think of, pretty much. Summon some monster, Master it to attack people? You can think of it, someone's probably thought a Morvidus student did it at some point.

EDIT: Referring to Morvidus' reputation on the forums, for reference (or at least my interpretation thereof).

I think as far as sterotypes go, I think this sums it up.

Aranaz students are over-the-top in doing things. Exactly what depends on the student but damn if they aren't 150% on that thing they do. Stepping on everyone's toes in the process.

Durand students are goody two-shoes, always looking to help others, or do something to benefit lots of people directly or indirectly.

Hedi students seem to enjoy long winded conversations before getting to the point.. Or at least are extremely capable of tolerating them.

Morvidus is extremely chaotic and filled with animals. Probably a bit unclean too. (Not evil at all, except for the bullies, and even they have their reasons.)

Vernin is filled with spoiled rich kids and folks trying to compensate for... um... Something with their tall towers.

Godina students are happy-go-lucky. No cares or planning needed. Let's just play sports and music, and occasionally blast some fool with lightning when it's needed..

Avila is the girly school where people learn to be sissies and learn 'soft' magic.

Typical Vernin. You think you're all that, but if you were, you wouldn't need a massive cash influx to fix all those broken towers. Must have been the contruction methods used. Too much ego in the mix.
