1. Are there animal cruelty laws that limit what types of revisions can be done to animals?

2. Is there a pillar of magic that most great military leaders hold to be best in war? what is that pillar?

Rhi;

1) Yes, of a sort. Most cities have this kind of thing- less for cruelty, than for problems involving magically changed or maddened animals.

2) Not universally, no, but those that like direct force tend to prefer Incantation. :)

Something I don't remember but for the mythical year 2, is it only the advanced class that are college only or also the college focus in year 2 ?

So for exemple can you enroll in Orthography if you are not in Aranaz ?

I should only say that you can continue with Orthography, even if you are not in Aranaz- but there may be other Classes which you cannot take...

The only thing that is College exclusive in year 2 is the extra class all other education can still be taken by other student that had the right class or managed to do a test for the requiring skills.

At last this was the status till now but it seams it changed if I interpret this new answer from the Legate right.

1) Was there any case of a student getting a certificate of pillar of mastery from the Academagia while not being in that college specific pillar ? If yes what is the academic obstacles encountered in those cases ?

2) For students showing great aptitude in more than one pillar and judged to have the potential to be one of the few to master 2 pillars by the end of his/her scholarship, are there typically any special treatment made so s/he can get as most tuteling as s/he can of those pillars even if some classes are usually reserved for colleges student only ?

3) Is it known/possible for students of other colleges to have been given access to college only advanced classes because of great affinity with the Regent of said college. For exemple Briardi might be more than an acquaintance for PC who have completed all adventures where she is involved (and its not like there is a few!) even in some college specific adventure like in Vernin... . ;)

4) Can the Legate pressure a Regent to let a student get access to a specific class. If so may we get some exemple ?

5) Was there any infamous case of a student cynically regularly switching from colleges to get access to specific tuteling or any reason to change college for benefits. Political or economical. If yes some exemple there too ?

6) What would be the reaction to a student showing expertise in more than one advanced class of another college even tough they are not enrolled in them ?

7) Does the academy provide other type of certificate than mastery of a specific pillar ? Can someone receive a (lesser) certificate if they reach a sufficient level without being expert ?

What about minors ? Can someone for exemple get a say Mastery in Artifice with a minor in Architecture or something ?

Does the academy recognise a student that has reached a great mastery over a specialised/semi-forgotten way to practice magic. Not sure what to put here but I guess Enchant or music Glammour may fit there ?

8) What would be the reaction if a student was known/suspected to practise a yet unkown/forgotten form of magic?

I know that "The familiar's Gift" for exemple does not sound to be well known according to its description and I guess the form of Blood/Revision magic it fall into is not famous either. Care to share some details on that ? ;)

9) Is there any kind of inter-recognition of certificates provided by magical school ? Like say a mage coming from Auncesnay with a Glammour certificate from a local school and looking for work maybe acknowledged by the Academagia/local government as being the equivalent of x level in Academagia.

Surely there was at least an imperial standard at some point. :)

Wew that was a lot. I think I will stop here or I will do  a Free and write 40 questions in a row. :P

Legate, pretty please get the Team to answer these questions. As an Omni-disciplinarian, I think these are damn good questions.

Definitely. The only obstacle is the recommendation of the Regent.

That depends on relationships and other factors.

3) Is it known/possible for students of other colleges to have been given access to college only advanced classes because of great affinity with the Regent of said college. For exemple Briardi might be more than an acquaintance for PC who have completed all adventures where she is involved (and its not like there is a few!) even in some college specific adventure like in Vernin... . ;)

Oh, yes. :)

4) Can the Legate pressure a Regent to let a student get access to a specific class. If so may we get some exemple ?

They certainly can- I'll have to ask for examples, though.

5) Was there any infamous case of a student cynically regularly switching from colleges to get access to specific tuteling or any reason to change college for benefits. Political or economical. If yes some exemple there too ?

It's happened, although I'll have to ask. ;)

6) What would be the reaction to a student showing expertise in more than one advanced class of another college even tough they are not enrolled in them ?

Well, it certainly wouldn't improve their standing amongst the members of that other college. Otherwise, nothing in particular.

7) Does the academy provide other type of certificate than mastery of a specific pillar ? Can someone receive a (lesser) certificate if they reach a sufficient level without being expert ?

What about minors ? Can someone for exemple get a say Mastery in Artifice with a minor in Architecture or something ?

There isn't a concept of minors, but the degree conferred is against the recognized Pillars. There isn't a special recognition for other, more specialized forms.

8) What would be the reaction if a student was known/suspected to practise a yet unkown/forgotten form of magic?

I know that "The familiar's Gift" for exemple does not sound to be well known according to its description and I guess the form of Blood/Revision magic it fall into is not famous either. Care to share some details on that ? ;)

Certainly several of the Instructors would take not, if not their Regent. Or the Legate!

No details, alas! :)

9) Is there any kind of inter-recognition of certificates provided by magical school ? Like say a mage coming from Auncesnay with a Glammour certificate from a local school and looking for work maybe acknowledged by the Academagia/local government as being the equivalent of x level in Academagia.

There isn't anything automatic- it varies from city to city and state to state. In general, however, the prestige of the Academagia is leaps and bounds above anything else.

MMM-Hmmmm. :)

1. Will there be some more lasting relationship with professor in year 2? I.e. when you did both the Maestringer and Master of Music professor Castellain should be very proud of the player character even with a Relationship of 0.

2. Just to clear up confusion, What is the team's official stance on Enchantment as a Pillar of magic? Why did it change so late after Y1's release? Was this related to Orthography's not being a pillar anymore? And how is the term 'artifice' used in relation to this pillar?

Schwarzbart;

Yes, although it's still kind of a currency.

Free;

It has to do with how the Pillars were formed, and when. A little mistake. :)

Artifice is often used to prepare for Enchantment, so it is supporting in relationship.

Hmmm.

1. Has anyone ever graduated from the Academagia with a diploma certifying that they had mastered more than 2 pillars?

2. Apart from Mastery and Gates, which pillar would you consider to be the most dangerous to learn overall?

3. You've mentioned that Revising oneself to look like another person is extremely tricky stuff. Has there ever been a person famous for doing that?

4. Since the famous Crystal wand that allowed for casting magic from any pillar is lost, possibly forever, what would you recommend as an alternative for omni-disciplinarians? Owning a wand for each pillar?

5. What can happen if you cast a powerful spell with a wand that is not attuned to that pillar?

6. How difficult can it be to enchant a revision onto a living thing to make it a completely different living thing for decades or even centuries?

7. What can you tell us about the prophecies written on The Wall? The understanding I have is that they are... Exceptionally hard to decipher.  In the keystone Vernin adventure, did Vera di Cassatta and other unnamed mages go crazy trying to do so?

Free;

1) Yes.

2) Dangerous? Well, in what sense? Certainly Incantation can be explosive. :)

3) Yes- actually, there may be a Lore centered on that...

4) That is certainly the most practical solution- there isn't anything which was comparable to the Crystal Wand.

5) Generally speaking, it will make it harder to cast, which raises the risk of...unfortunate consequences.

6) Extremely- especially as long as decades and centuries!

7) You'll have to find out in game...

Would it be possible, if not ingame than at least in theory, to power up the Balanced Wand and so create a...well, not substitute, but something more practical for an Omni than lugging around five wands all the time?

Speaking of wands, one thing I was curious about: Ingame it's possible to duel-wield wands, but is that actually even remotely practical? I've duel-wielded badminton rackets before (yes, really), and while I might literally have been the whimpiest kid of the class I remember it being mentally taxing to effectively make use of both at once...at least relative to using only one racket. Considering that mental fortitude is necessary to cast spells, duel-wielding wands to me just seems impractical, at best.

Eight wands. If Enchant is indeed it's own pillar, then you'd need 8 of them. (as a true omni-disciplinarian, hehe) It's quite unfortunate considering that you couldn't get a wand that was decent at casting Mastery and Gates without a wand attuned to those pillars.

Which reminds me, Legate, In Oan's tutorial, there are only seven colors at Garibaldi's shop. In fact, the store location has 'seven' in the name if I'm not mistaken. That might be a little harder to retcon, hehehe.

Garibaldi's House of the Seven Colors, yes. As for that shop it's name is actually easy to explain - the shop was founded at a point when there were seven recognized pillars. Hence, seven colors.

Hmm, how old is the shop? if you say that Enchantment wasn't a pillar when it was founded, what about Orthography? Which was considered a pillar at one point.

In any case, the shop seems named after the owner, so it doesn't seem to have been around too long... Especially when you consider the types of things he sells there he seems more like a fly-by-night operation to me.

Exactly seven years ago when there was only seven recognized pillars hehe.

Actually that does beg a question. Now that Encnant is a pillar apparently what is the colour attributed to it ?

Surely it's Astrology. Just ask Aaron Ladale about the dangers of trying to change one's fate... :ph34r:

3) Given the matter fountain (or how it is called again) I wonder why even the poor are buried instead of cremated or even just thrown over the edge?

Probably has something to do with respect for the dead. Thais probably seen as a pretty callous thing to do, and may not allow for a peaceful rest. Plus I'm sure burial is a tradition that goes back to before the exile, for the same reasons we have it in real life.

Metis;

Oh! Yes to the first one, but there are some limits.

For the second, yeah- very taxing, and not just mentally. The ambidexterity implied can't be dismissed. :)
