This time I intend to provide sufficient reason for Nagato to be voted in.

Here is what she looked like:

With four 16" guns, she was one of the Big 7, the only 7 battleships allowed by the Washington Naval Treaty to carry 16" guns. These 7 battleships were all great enough to deserve an interview, but so far, Nagato is the only one confirmed, so I'm placing my vote for her. She was commissioned in 1920, making her one of the oldest ships in the game, and giving her quite a colorful service history. I can't say it all here, but I'll give you a few highlights. In 1922 she hosted Marshal Joseph Joffre, the Prince of Wales and his Aide-de-camp Lieutenant Louis Mountbatten. She carried supplies to the survivors of the great kanto earthquake in 1923. She was the proud flagship of Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto when he issued the command "Niitaka Yama Nobore", starting the war with America. She served in the Battles of Midway, The Philippine Sea, and Leyte, and continued to fight until she was captured by men of the USS Iowa while in Kure on August 30, 1945. After she was captured by the Americans, she stood strong next to USS Nevada, being used as one of the target ships in the Bikini Atoll atomic weapons tests.

Her rising sun flag remains in the USS Iowa museum, still intact. She was an important piece of Naval history, and a proud capital ship of the powerful Japanese Navy, not to mention one of the few ships commissioned before the start of the war that survived until its end. I would love to hear what she brings to the interview.

I cast my vote for IJN Nagato.

2B or not 2B, that is the question.

Though with a certain battleship in the running as well, that vote will have to wait for a bit. Bring on the big seven!

I cast my vote for the Nagato.
