Display Problems

I've seen a few threads on here who've had problems with their game but once they set their display to 100% it's all fixed, but when I try to do the same it doesn't work. Even when I set my display to 100% the game doesn't fill the entire screen. A sliver of what I have going on in the background can be seen on the right side of the screen. Other than that, when I try to confirm my actions for the week it doesn't appear in the beige area where it's supposed to be. If I have the display on a higher percentage I can "zoom out" and it will show up. If I have the display at 100% it won't show up at all and I'll have to restart the game. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game a few times and the problems still continue. I'd post pictures of what I'm talking about but I'm not sure how.

Not familiar with this one myself, alas. All the same, OS, monitor resolution and game version, please? If only just to check, one never knows.

And Legate, how's progress on DLC 17? Last I figured the Team had quite a backlog of relatively minor stuff to go through, though on the other side that was over a week ago.

Metis;

Minor? No I think there is still more they are working through- perhaps they closed most of the major issues you saw, however?

LG;

This one is entirely new- I don't think we've ever heard of something quite like this. As Metis noted, please tell us more about your system- but right now, head scratching! ;(

The latest build we got removed some of the testing stuff (starting with a Clique and a bunch of spells/items/abilities/research topics/what have you), so I figured they were (albeit slowly) moving towards getting a release build ready. If there exist more major issues I've not encountered them.

From my perspective, there's at least one major issue left that needs fixing. I need to be able to read the text, lol.

The new resizing for hi-res screens basically shrunk everything in the game by about 25 percent on more traditional res monitors. :)

You might be surprised at this, but there is a lot of text in the game that doesn't change size when you do that. You do need to tick it up rediculously to read the story bits, and then the GUI looks like a full sized person wearing baby clothes. It needs fixing. :)

That resolution is recommended because (I assume) it's the largest that your system can handle, and for most cases, that indeed makes it the best choice. Unfortunately, for a mid-2010 game that wasn't build to scale in any way, shape or form (yet) it might not actually be the ideal resolution. Could you set your resolution to, say, 1920×1080 and see if the problem persists?

If I remember right the optimal resolution for Academagia is 1280x800 (or was it 1024x768?) everything smaller and you missing things and everything larger and the complete UI and text get smaller while you get unused border. 1920x1080 / x1200 works still fine but I expect on larger screen resolution it might become problematic to read the text as the unused border becomes to big.

1280x1024 is what I use presently and have no problems with it on DLC 16. There's a small unused border, but it's minor. I expect the game was designed for 1024x768, and it's really hard to scale things to a resolution more than double that which was originally intended.
