Leoshi
Speaking of dorms, what about the bathrooms? Do they have showers like those in western country swimming pools? On a side note, what was the best prank play by any student(s) in the academy? I might try something to match that talent.
Legate of Mineta
Leoshi; The disposition of bathrooms depends on the College- some are more spare than others, but all offer some amount of privacy. As to the best prank...well, that's something to be revealed...
Leoshi
Revealed ? How ?
Mikka
Okay, this is one that's driving me nuts. On the lovely Academagia map done by Sapiento, there lies a building in the center of a diamond built by the Vernin, Avila, Godina, and Hedi campuses. It's called the Vasatra Campanile. What is it? What does it do? Or is it a building that was unused and thus no longer exists in the world of the game? Campus Kazus and Campus Icanyke. There were a few hints that Campus Icanyke either used to be where Campus Godina now stands, or that they at least used one of the Godina towers, but I sort of went through that adventure in a rush, so I'm not certain I got it. Where did Campus Kazus and Campus Icanyke once stand? Have buildings been built over or turned in to something new, or were they just reduced to rubble and cleared out? Either way, do you think an aspiring PC archeologist/historian with some good friends and a lot of determination would be able to find some answers to mysteries if they did some digging (and somehow managed not to get caught)? What time is breakfast, lunch, and dinner served? Is it done in an 'everyone be here at 7:00 type fashion', or more of 'breakfast is 6 to 8, come in when you're hungry'? Do all students eat at the same time, or do different years eat apart? Oh, an an edited add on question: what time is curfew generally for first years? Would the time change on days with no school after them (friday/saturday, nights before holiday), or is it uniform? Does curfew mean 'In your collage tower' or 'Be asleep with no activity going on in your room?'
Legate of Mineta
The Vasastra Campanile is one of three bell towers on campus. That particular one is notable because much of the workings are clockwork. It's locked up day and night. Both proscribed Campuses still exist on the map; they are now just used as Halls for general instruction (17 is Icanikix Hall and 19 is Kazus Hall.) Both (with some modifications), were simply converted after their proscription. You have a choice: you can either eat with your College, which occurs at times set by your Regent, or you can eat with the visitors at the Main Hall. Both are time ranges, not a fixed time, although...Avila *probably* has specific hours. Curfew for First Years is at the 9th Bell of the evening. The curfew doesn't change, regardless of Holidays or Weekends (but *enforcement* isn't so strict!) Curfew means be in your room, with no activity going on. Enforcement of that, though, also varies. CremePudding
Oh. Eating at College seems awfully handy when you don't feel like walking on an empty stomach. Is there difference in food served in the college and the main hall : P ? (And why is everyone complaining about the food?)
Legate of Mineta
The food is indeed different at the Main Hall and the various Colleges, and it's quality may vary depending on your tastes. Is the food that bad? It depends on if you ask Corradin or...
Schwarzbart
Oh then I just wondering why there are so many events with foodpoisoning
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; A conspiracy against the chefs...I am sure.

From the timeseting I expect a bathtube still as the most common way to get clean. Edit: Legate from the Events I expected so fare that there is only one kitchen.
Legate of Mineta
Bathtubs are certainly more common, but the 'waterfall' style has achieved some popularity...where it can be afforded.
Adrian
I was had imagined a single kitchen as well (not that I am complaining mind you!). As for why everyone complains about the food?... well, there is not smoke without a fire (or something equally dangerous) Speaking of earthly comforts... Washing clothes. I suspect that you do this magically at later years, but are there supplies for first-years to do this or is it expected that it is something you get done in town or get done by a senior? Or is it part of the tour when you arrive? "...this is the toilet- seperated by gender. And before you ask, no. The male bathroom doesn't look this nice. If we proceed we come to the bathroom. Still gender devided - again no, the male still doesn't look half as nice. Baths comes in two varians - three if you count the Lake outside - tub or waterfall. This concludes the tour. To clean your clothes use Water, Water, and Purification phemes and a modification of the "refill" charm done thusly. Questions? No? Good! Now get studying! Anyone caught dragging their feet will be sent to detention with Sixt von Rupprecht for the next three weeks."
Legate of Mineta
Adrian; You can do it yourself, or you can bring your clothing to Capilutza (or places in the Upper City) who will wash it for a fee. Most Students who do not study Revision usually have their clothes cleaned. Ridding oneself of dirt and stains can be a real problem if you aren't good at it. Adrian
Ain't that the truth? Good to know though! Also good to know that the spell falls under revision, that little piece of goodness might result in something!
Schwarzbart
Legate , I though there is also a Enchant Methode of keeping the cloths clean.
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; Excellent point- I should have added that enchanted clothing often prevents most forms of stains and dirt from accumulating.
Schwarzbart
I am sure that some Char's will try to use Glamour to keep looking & smelling good while his/her cloth is dirty as hell just to avoid to make a washing day.
Legate of Mineta
Probably has happened many, many times.
Adrian
A history question, or a few really.. Is the timeline correct, and are the notes to the sides correct? (and if not, would you add a bit to set us on track? ^^) The timeline: The Captivity of Man: Ended by the intervention of the new gods The Exile: Time where King Durand lead armies against dragons. Also time where Clyve was split and we got the floating islands(?). The Second Captivity (speculation: Did the dragons raise islands into the air to protect themselves?) The Early Empire: Academagia was created, decendants of the New Gods roam the land. The Middle Empire: The Calamities: marked by the destruction of Monteon. Monteon seems to have been vulcanic, and somehow is now below the ocean? Anyone got more insight they wanted to add? I know King Aranaz was around the same time as King Durand, how about Queen Hedi and the others?
Legate of Mineta
Adrian; A few changes to the early timeline: The Captivity of Man was ended by King Durand, Aranaz and the others (all 7 of the College's Kings lived at roughly the same time period.) The Exile: The Dragons split Cyve. The Second Captivity: Ended by the intervention of the New Gods ...there you go!
Mikka
Can you give a list of some of the (open) clubs at Academagia (as opposed to secret societies)? I know there is of course student council, the debate club, the Rimabl teams (am I correct in that each Collage has their own, but then there's also one made (probably from taking the best players from the other teams?) to go against other schools and competitions), a riding club, and I believe I saw something about a duelist society. Anything else of interest? I know clubs will be a definite part of 2nd year stuff, but I figure a few adventures and mentions of them in the first year may be fun... Legate of Mineta
Mikka; Yes, there's kind of an extensive list- oddly enough, we are in the process of eliminating the ones that won't appear in the base game right now. I'm not totally sure what I can say about this yet.
Adrian
Question! Dorms; can they be mixed? Do you switch dorms every year? Can you switch dorms midterm (if the people involved agree to do the switch)? A last but slightly related question, what is the best way to get candy stink out of bedsheets? (without making the stink worse!)
Legate of Mineta
Adrian; Dorms are not mixed, nor can they be switched mid-term, except in the case of really unusual problems between students. Removal of candy would be handled by Revision. But you have to be careful...
Adrian
Yay I am taking revision at least, and darn it I had hoped to con someone to take my bed... guess it is study time... Do we switch dorms every year or does it last till we graduate?
