@Legate of Mineta: 1. In what ways does Tabin present himself as foreign in the Academagia? I am not saying that he emphasizes his exoticness, but his adventure describes him as seeming foreign, which given the cosmopolitan student body, must mean something. 2. How often is spell casting done with verbal components?

How fascinating. I suppose that I should expect little else from a game which uses real Latin and has a Berber language as a major language.

When playing Baldur's Gate again recently, I was surprizsed to encounter mention of a coster in the game. Researching, I discovered that a Coster in the Forgotten Realms setting is a "company which gathers smaller merchants together to form temporary or permanent alliances focused on safety and protection while traveling" - shich is consistent with the Falcon Costers' role in Academagia. Certainly, they do not seem to be sellers of fruit and vegetables on streets, which is an alternative meaning of coster (from costermonger).

As an update, the novel is currently at around 53,000 words. I hope that I did not err in portraying Zoe Melis as a fundamentally ambitious but unmotivated person, who needs suggestion or inspiration or support from others before she will implement any ambitious plan.

I have used AI in order to write a story about Academagia myself, which I refuse to put online, and I have gained permission from Black Chicken Studios to write a novel using characters and magic from Academagia, so good luck with your efforts.

Did any Gates Mages in the Empire of Man defect to Oursouk when Gates Magic was banned in the Empire of Man? 4. Has there been any study within the Empire of Man of what motivates people to defect to Oursouk, similar to, for example, studies about what makes people become radical terrorists?

But abduction is more useful to the abductor - and has parellels with real life fairy lore.

Oh no, just to self-publish. I am not skilled enough for more, I think - yet.

I am not sure. I have an outline of how it will go, and I expect that it will be much longer than that. Right now, I am less than a third of the way done it.

And I am glad to report that although my writing style is idiosyncratic, it does not have Sima refer to herself in 3rd person singular.

So, my novel is at over 42,000 words, and I thought that the following excerpt may serve as a useful description of Sima Venesico as she was intended to be understood in Academagia and how she will be presented in future games: "Sima never does anything without in some way planning to gain from it. If she has to become dishonest or seductive or aggressive or anything which she can become in order to ensure that she gains from her actions, she will become such a thing – and the only care which she will take for other people who are not her friends is to avoid being harmed by them more than she is capable of handling.”

How many types of damage will there be?

@Legate of Mineta: Has any thought been given to having damage in duels (and perhaps events) be given subtypes which can be protected against by spells or artifacts? So, for example, the PC or a duelling opponent could have a fire-protection spell active for a turn or several which would, for example, completely negate all fire damage in the next attack received.

@Legate of Mineta: Are the triplets paranoid or suspicious about Beatrix von Wetgen, because they are wondering what she is doing in the Imperial Reserve and why she has such freedom?

@Legate of Mineta: Was Isabeau's birth and/or infancy reported upon in the news? I am thinking about how Edgar Allan Poe was known to readers of newspapers in his infancy because his mother was the famous actress Eliza Poe.
