Metis
And yes, several battles have ended with...everyone was destroyed. Nice, going to have some fun with that. Maybe. Hopefully. Also, no comment on the old bag/PM stuff ?

Schwarzbart
I might be wrong but I suspect that most noble who have some wealth have some kind of magical armor instead of a heavy metal armor. Especial when it is something a noble usually wear then it also protects against assassins who probably are a more common problem then to die on the field of battle. Schwarzbart
What Backgrounds should I take and what should I avoid for my Godina student to have the family of the player to be Mercenary from Staade? So fare sure are: Academy: Chameil School Heritage: Staadan Family: Sports History: Famous Campaigners Astrology: The Comet Omen: Shattered Mirrors Prodigy: Battle Born Prodigy: Center of Attention and want to have: Apprenticeship: Page History: Artisans of Skill Friendships: Actually, Bitter Hatred Station: Wealthy
Metis
Wealthy implies to me that your family aren't mercenaries so much as the leaders of a mercenary guild, so perhaps either avoid that or tone it down to Well-to-Do or avoid a Station background entirely. Artisans of skill can work, someone has to supply and maintain a mercenary's weapons and doing it yourself is always cheaper. Besides, have to have a hobby for when there isn't a war to fight. Page is working for nobles at their request, and I don't think mercenaries are high on the list of people nobles want to keep good relationships with. It's entirely possible your PC is simply exceptional, but perhaps switch it for Student at Arms or Wizard depending on whether you want to hit thing or set things on fire with the power of your mind wand. Metis
New post to mark it as new: How would Orsi feel if the PC send a friendly ghost to give him an info dump in the middle of the night? The information in question is kinda important to the ghost, but Orsi has roughly 0% connection to it otherwise.

Lilette
So, since there are Demigods in academagia setting, meaning a child between a God and a human, is the concept of Half-Dragons believed to be real? Like Half-Human, Half-dragon, or even Half-God and Half-dragon paz; Yes, all are possible, and known. The most famous half-gods were the Calvian Emperors, over whom many wars were fought. You mentioned half-gods, but what of half dragons? Could (never mind the why) a dragon and a human have a child together magically or otherwise? Would humans be able to tell if someone was half-dragon? and since I'm asking about dragons, do we get to restore Diavesque to a fairer form in the later years? ? Schwarzbart
1) Will we see the profession of our Parents in year 2? 2) If so will we have to select the profession out of some choices at the begin of the game? 3) How many days will we lose (travel home and back) if we pick one of the Heritage backgrounds except Renaglian? 4) If my char have Academy: Chameil School, Heritage: Staadan, no Family: The Secret Heritage and enough wealth can he learn at the Academy trough the summer break? 5) Will the Academy backgrounds offer their own specialisation, take a suitable specialisation from Academagica or just offer level 10-20 training in their skills at year 2? Metis
Metis; Haha! I think you would have to try it and see. Perhaps, perhaps . You mentioned half-gods, but what of half dragons? Could (never mind the why) a dragon and a human have a child together magically or otherwise? Would humans be able to tell if someone was half-dragon? Frankly I can't imagine there wasn't a single Dragon during either Captivity that didn't have a human or SCIENCE! fetish and some form of Gates/Revision magic. It is, of course, possible this only resulted in a human/Dragon zombie animated by magic as it's not biologically able to live, but hey, someone tried I'm sure. Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; 1) Will we see the profession of our Parents in year 2? Yes. 2) If so will we have to select the profession out of some choices at the begin of the game? No, they are set by Background. 3) How many days will we lose (travel home and back) if we pick one of the Heritage backgrounds except Renaglian? Travel takes some time- it can take over a week, but it's a bit random. 4) If my char have Academy: Chameil School, Heritage: Staadan, no Family: The Secret Heritage and enough wealth can he learn at the Academy trough the summer break? I'm not sure, I will have to ask. 5) Will the Academy backgrounds offer their own specialisation, take a suitable specialisation from Academagica or just offer level 10-20 training in their skills at year 2? Hmmm, I believe in Y2 you cannot unlock Skills from them, but I may be wrong.

Legate of Mineta
Free; No, I don't think so. Most Classes are open to all.
Schwarzbart
3) Hmm then I think I will make a mod that change the Heritage backgrounds (except Renaglian) that they give 1 point instead take 1 point. In my opinion the travel time alone would make them to a flaw adding that you can't access any buildings in Mineta trough the complete summer break is enough that they even could give 2 points instead of taking 1 point. Metis
So, wait, how is a PC with the Renaglian background different from a PC without any Heritage background?
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; I don't know...Travel is pretty cool... Metis; Different Family.
Schwarzbart
Will year 2 have problems if a character have more Family affecting Backgrounds then it is to expect with the normal background points?
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; Good question. I imagine one would be selected and the other not considered, but I don't think the Team planned for it.
Metis
Considering you could, in theory, spend about...what, 13 background points on various family things if you take the Traitor, Pebbles and Hatred flaw I doubt that's a problem specific to having more background points in Y1 than the game should have expected. Legate of Mineta
Metis; I re-read what Schwarzbart wrote- I thought he meant more than of a type, for instance, Heritage. The other combinations are fine, although they trump one another, depending.

Schwarzbart
1) Will Mr. Pepples break the bond of a other familiar in year 2 when the player used Exchange Familiar when having this flaw background or will this char have 2 familiar at the start of year 2? 2) Is it planed for any NPC student to change the College at year 2? Old post: You can only pick one Heritage background and my mod don't change anything on this. Beside my experience is that you can only take 1 flaw per Background Type.
