About Sadie's personality, and the choices you can make

6 posts in this topic

There are certain decision making points in the game that directly influence your Relationship Points with other characters.

I have no problem with those.

But there are also quite a few decision-making points that, instead of affecting Relationship Points, seem to... accomplish nothing at all.

I am referring to the points that give you at least three different ways of reacting, or approaching a situation.

Something like,

----

(an event like this:)

"Your love interest is hitting on you after ignoring you for so long."

(the choices you get are:)

-I don't notice at all. (Serious option)

-Encourage his advances. (Flirty option)

-Ha. Ha. Ha. How ironic. (Sarcastic option)

(...and once you make your choice, the dialogue that follows hardly changes/doesn't change at all. nothing indicates anything has changed.)

----

Could somebody clarify if these kinds of choices make a serious impact on gameplay, and if so, how?

Let's say if I kept choosing the "Sarcastic" options, or something. Would I end up changing Sadie's personality? Are there any penalties for only choosing one, or for trying to balance it all?

Your choice could unlock something that happens later. Or it is just thrown in there for fun.

Skarrow;

Many of these 'role-playing choices'- they let you play Sadie the way you'd prefer to. Some have consequences, others are just for your fun. :)

I am working on a flow chart. I is a very slow going process because I am typing ALL the (Choices) dialog, gains you receive, and where it leads to in addition to relationship gain. I am stuck at India because well I have been doing a lot of typing and I know there are still some things I need to go back and change; Like in some challenges. there could be a separate bonus depending on what you choose; And I am sure there are a few tiny paths I have missed just out of habit of usually avoiding them; *sigh* I will finish it, but it will be after I finish moving. Don't count on it for a while, but I will finish it.

My concern is, I am doing it in Microsoft Visio 2013 and I do not know if people will need a special reader for it or if or if it will be able to be read by anyone with Office

Second problem. parts of it is messy as heck because it is hard to keep it organize when you don't know where the path leads till it gets there, so I will have to rework a lot of it. I am not looking forward to that!

This is just an example of one of the paths in one of the countries; I wont say whose path or which county but as you can tell there is a lot that goes into them
