General Victory Belles Questions Thread

Something came up in the discord, and it occurs it's an interesting question for the devs, setting wise: Can Belles be harmed independently of their hull? Will damaging her hull injure a belle or vice versa? And for that matter, just to confirm: Is their hull still physical and a ship when they manifest, despite the rigs? Are Belles just as armored as their ships, or are they effectively normal humans with magical control of a magically enhanced ship?

Edit: sub-question, because this also bugged me: I remember reading somewhere that as one traveled farther into a Morgana's Mist, they began to feel the effects of that which the morgana was named for more and more. For example, entering Asphyxiation's Mist leaves you short of breath as you enter and choking as you near the center; or paranoia leaves you more and more worried that at any moment the morgana's gonna jump out at you or your supposed "crewmates" would be working for the enemy. Is this true?

Fifrein;

Damage to the ship appears to affect them, although they are immune to direct forms of damage, no matter what the source.

While the Morgana appear to become stronger within the Mists, you do not necessarily feel their effects more strongly. It does happen that way at times, but there's not clear correlation.

Damn, lost a bet on the first one. But for the second, the answer was that you actually do feel the effect they're named for? Asphyxiation asphixiates, and paranoia makes you paranoid, and treason makes you treasonous?

A question that kind of comes from chatting with YuriMom is are the Belles tethered to their ship in such a way that they can't go too far from their ship? Or are they able to venture a fair ways into the port? The phrase she used was "like a ghost" and only able to go around the general location

They cannot go very far from their ship- roughly 10 yards or so.

But is that far enough to grab a pint? (asking the real questions)

I meant an overarching story line. Like random and pre determined events that happen that affect the story. Like if Cornwall was bombarded from sea by the enemy and there is a chance that the public could panic or Churchhill could use the event to bring the people of England together. Stuff like that.
