AgamemnonAhb 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 Imptrooper; Well, you don't have to worry *too* much about losing your Belles- they can't be sunk in just one engagement (exception: Death Date), so you can make mistakes as long as you withdraw! I would think you'll only see '39 Belles, although you never know. This leads me to another question, and if it has been answered already I must have missed it. What about the Belle's that have no Death Date? Like, say, The Texas (BAM another mention) Or The Lexington CV-16 or any number of Museum ships around the world? Dano 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 If they don't have a death date, nothing happens to them. So, the tiny planes that the Belles carry. Are they piloted by tiny somethings or are they just an extension of the Belle herself?
Legate of Mineta 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 Dano; Extensions only, although they can fly a fair distance from the Belle- further than she can leave the ship, in many cases.
AgamemnonAhb 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 If they don't have a death date, nothing happens to them. Fair enough, but what about Ships like The Enterprise and Warspite? They were scrapped out over years.
DrYuriMom 21 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 Likely the date they were striken from the naval rolls. In general that's after the war and the framework of the game methinks.
Legate of Mineta 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 AAhb; What DYM wrote. However, for things like peacetime scrapping and so on, the Belle doesn't have a Death Date. It's only by combat that she can get one (or more than one, in certain cases!)
Dano 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 Dano; Extensions only, although they can fly a fair distance from the Belle- further than she can leave the ship, in many cases. So no having secret liaisons with a regular girl on shore then.

PizzaRocket 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 At least not if your Belle is a Carrier with a jealous streak. Take note captains! Make sure to incorporate this in your strategy should you chose to... play the field
Mignonette 11 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 The only bad thing about being a Arpeggio-style "mental model": No off-shore excursions for Belles unless it's right on the shore. What's their "range" anyway?
PizzaRocket 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 10m or so last I heard, or 10 units of measure at any rate... not very far (as of 1939, so maybe more in the future).
Mignonette 11 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 Wow, that's not far at all. I was expecting 200-500 feet (60-150m) at least on the water in case they have to somehow leave the ship to fight on the water (and they would have to move around a lot), if it comes down to it. Wellington99 29 Report post Posted June 12, 2016 Yep, about 10m in '39... So further later on? So we will be able to take them on dates to the museum or a restaurant (or a prize fighting match)?
