Nikolaj Posted August 26, 2010 Report Share Posted August 26, 2010 I've been studying at the library of the mantle of stars for a bit, to increase my astrology skill, and it seems that it sometimes only gives +1 to an astrology skill, even though the report at the end of the day says the skill increased by +2. I'm not sure I understand what you mean, sorry. Anyway, what happens is that I study some skill at the library. I'm supposed to get +1 to whatever skill I choose to study, as well as +2 to a random astrology skill, right? Well, I always get the +1 to whatever I skill I choose, but often (maybe always, I'm not sure) I only get +1 to a random astrology skill, instead of the +2 I'm supposed to get. Legate of Mineta Posted August 26, 2010 Report Share Posted August 26, 2010 Nikolaj; I will test this Location, but what could be happening is this: Say, for instance, the Skill in question is Comets, and it is currently at 1 of 2 Skill Steps needed to advance. If you apply +2 to this Skill, it will change to the next Level, and automatically begin at 0 Skill Steps (any excess is lost upon Leveling.) I will check to be sure, though. Thanks! Although looking at my astrology skills in my current game, they're all at 0 out of 1 skill steps, and I've experienced the problem in this game. Not sure if that means anything, though. After testing a bit more, I've come to the same conclusion that you mention in that thread. A skill can only level up once per timeslot, and any excess skill steps are lost. I wonder if this is WAD?
