Legate of Mineta
MadHatt; Pims are made of copper, I believe. Befriending grows more difficult as you have have Friends- their Relationships are considered with any new candidates as well, and it can be really difficult to add new Friends once you have a good sized Clique. You should be able to Train Minetan Swagger, but its Maximums may prevent you. Can you tell me how you are trying to Train it? Just the usual Train Action? Thanks! MadHatt
Yes, just the train action. I got the skill due to an adventure or random event (can't recall) and when trying to train it (usual Train action, Matching Wits or by using the Cheat menu (other skills, even the newest ones added however, do show up)) it didn't show. It's present in my Skills and Research but not as an option to train.
Legate of Mineta
Mad Hatt; Ah- is it possible that you have the Research Topic unlocked? If so, you could not be able to Train the Skill that way- does it appear in the Research menu?
MadHatt
It doesn't show up, no. Started a new character so that I can see if it's restricted just to the one or it's a general problem. I never noticed it before due to the fact that's it's pretty hard to get (at least for me)
Legate of Mineta
MadHatt; Hmmm! Please let me know the results, but either way- please pm me a RapidShare link to your save, I'd like to investigate it. Thanks!
Adrian
The Broken pines adventure suggested that gryphons are near extinct, and that wyvern was all but extinct. So, instead of doing mad insane and otherwise time consuming work, couldn't these magical creatures be summoned? Unless of cause they are only native to our plane,.. in which case we really messed up I suppose.
Legate of Mineta
Adrian; They are native to Azhiamas, but they could be summoned, of course...with all the attendant risks of Gates. :
Adrian
I'd rather bring a species back through mad experiments than risk bringing the demon hoards down on us! Of cause! Yes. Indeed. But then, really, where is the harm in a little summoning? It's much faster than all that pesky reconstruction. I mean it isn't like we are summoning a puppy anyway, those things are crazy dangerous! Reconstructed or not! ... Why'd we want to bring them back anyway?.. aaanywho, Where is Azhiamas? I couldn't find it on the map. (I really ought to write the names down at some point, rather than rereading the map every time I come across a new location name ) I realize that this may be a spolier question, but I wanted it out there: Did the dragons come through a gate? Something to think about the next time you summon fastfood! (Then again, if you really did summon a massive army of dragons, it is handy that you can teleport away, isn't it? ) In other questions, are slaves/slavery allowed in Elumia? If yes, is it frowned upon or embraced? - I've read a few special cases where people sold themselves to slavery when the harvest was poor and worked themselves free the following year or two, which, while perhaps not ideal is certainly a feasable solution in my eyes. (Note I haven't been a slave, so this is a white man with a sick mind talking )
Legate of Mineta
Adrian; Azhiamas is the general names of all the Islands. As to the origin of Dragons...well, there are a lot of stories. Slavery is illegal in Elumia, although slaves brought from other lands are not always freed upon arrival (it depends on the part of Elumia). Indentured servitude and, sometimes, serfdom exists however.
Adrian
damnit, I don't know why but I can never remember Azhiamas, you were even kind enough to state it to me a few times already. *mutters* Thanks for the reply though Indentured servant might be the more political correct term. Good to know!
MadHatt
Can you touch a shade? Like pet it or grab it? And can it grab you or your stuff? I sort of thought of them as insubstantial, like ghosts.
Legate of Mineta
MadHatt; They are, for the most part, insubstantial. They can, like ghosts, grab you or move objects in certain circumstances- generally speaking, it's pretty limited. It is also possible to 'touch' them, by magic, or at times when they have a more solid shape. As with moving objects, it's very situational and limited, however. MadHatt
I was asking because in Random Event Familiar 1, the Flattery exit, the cook pets your familiar on the head, which for Pamela or Shadow is ...strange. In fact, it's sort of strange that they got caught in the first place being, well, insubstantial. Which brings up the point of how he got caught and ..what do Shades eat anyway? Do they eat or just get nourished by shadows?
Legate of Mineta
MadHatt; Heh, yeah, there are some Random Events which can have some awkward results. I'm not sure what Shades eat- good question! I'll ask the Content Team. Edit: Here's the answer! "From what I recall, Nightmare Lords. I might also add socks that go missing in the wash. "
Fletchin
I was wondering about Griars Adventure - A Friend of the Animals. Does it end at Train The Plant? It seemed to end kinda abruptly with him saying he's give the seeds to any students that want them and I didn't seem to get an increase to the relationship maximum, but no new adventure has been added to my list. MadHatt
"I might also add socks that go missing in the wash. " Aha! So that's why people distrust shades so much! Damn sock monsters. I have a ferret that always steals them off and that's not nearly as bad as having them eaten! Are Nightmare Lords common or is it that Shades can't really starve? Because that would seem like a very rare and gourmet thing to chew on.
Adrian
Will we be seeing Professor Abramonte...glessisimo(!) ergh.. *cough* von Rupprecht's protege again? ... I'll see you all in detention. (I really liked her, she is horrible, but makes Sixt seem almost kind, friendly... human even.)
Legate of Mineta
Fletchin; Actually, that does seem to be the end- I'm going to send this to the Content Team, to make sure it is supposed to end like this. MadHatt; Nightmare Lords are probably rare, but socks... In all seriousness, there are all manner of nightmares the Shade can sample. Adrian; I'm not sure about that, but I suspect you'll see her again...
HeatTalon
What is the elemental Warriors exactly? Superhero teams?(But having a office are unusual..)Mercenaries teams?Part-time police?(I Plan to join again next save with new DLC,can't play much currently...) And I can't find the word PHemes beside that it is a greek lady god, which I don't think is the same thing....? Also, what does it mean by Zoe destroy the grading curves? So the professors can't give grades easily because she is sick???? So confused...And I am having English Composition exam tomorrow. STUPID COMPOSITION.
Legate of Mineta
HeatTalon; Hahaha, good luck! In answer to your questions: Elemental Warriors are a kind of mercenary/vigilante group. Pheme is a purely fictional word, and is of no relation to the greek goddess. A Pheme is a glyph or other magical symbol, drawn on a Palette, to create a Spell. 'Destroying the grading curves' in this case means that Zoe does so well on exams that she makes it hard for others to get good grades. It has to do with a certain kind of grading system.
HeatTalon
Oh,i know that kind of grading! It is stupid,in Hong Kong they are removing and replace with a new one that doesn't make it hard if there is a SuperZoe.They are doing it this year and I am going to have that by next year:lol: My first thought of Pheme is like cotton candy. And it is magic symbols like most stuff. My imagination will need some time to adjust! What is the writer's corner for?Took a look at first page and they look like some adventures being made. But aren't they players? At least both Adrian and CremePudding seems too chatty as writer for this game.....
Legate of Mineta
HeatTalon; The Writer's Corner is for Players who would like to put some Events or Adventures into the game. Anyone is free to write there, and if the Content Team likes it enough, they'll put it into a DLC.
CremePudding
But aren't they players? At least both Adrian and CremePudding seems too chatty as writer for this game..... Hey!
Leoshi
I was wondering how telekinesis magic should be categorized. Is it under a the normal classes of magic or the illegal ones? Related to telekinesis is psychics. Were there any psychics? How were they treated? I imagine it must be harshly. Though it would make a nice new background. And Creme,
Legate of Mineta
Leoshi; Telekinesis (movement by distance) falls typically under Incantation, although Revision can do it as well. There is no true psychic power known to the Elumians, although Dragons speak the 'True-Speech', and can produce magical effects seemingly by their mind alone. Great sig, by the way.
