A few in game questions

Haha! The answer is yes! (through magic) I had asked about that before but can't find it now... :)

I don't know about accidentally doing it. I know that an "accident" can happen though. ;)

Edit:

Legate, I've been looking to clear data from my HD since it's a solid state and not especially huge. I found 1GB of cache data in my programdata/Academagia folder. Is that vital to the game in any way or can I just delete that with no worry. Just looking before I leap.

Thanks! That gives me a bit more breathing room. :)

I certainly understand why that might be desirable, but do you think that we can have some control over the creation of cache data in an options menu in the future? I know I don't speak for a lot of people when I say this, but there are *probably* some people like me who have 3.2GHz quad core processors and solid state drives which makes certain loading times... ehhh.. not as big a deal. :)

An option to either turn it off or better to minimize the total size to 1-200MB would be great. No rush. ;)

I certainly would appreciate it if even that were possible. I have a pet peeve with programs creating data on that scale without my knowledge/permission. I blew a gasket when windows took 32GB for "hibernation" and "Cache" purposes... On a 80GB drive for a computer that has 16GB RAM and will either be off or on with no need for hibernating, it's not a laptop. GRRR stupid microsoft....

Anyway, back to in game questions..

1. Is there any particular reason or hypothesis for the extinction of magical beings?

2. Have any animals ever been seen passing through the maelstrom?

3. Is it possible that exploring ships are not destroyed by any "horizontal" limits to the maelstrom? Is there any evidence that they might have been destroyed by dragons in the "return pools?"

Psst, Adrian!

Apparently, what we may or may not have seen regarding time travel would have been glamours, true, but do you think that the Vernin tower just *seems* to have an explosion frozen in place?

Of course. All information on the subject is [redacted] so we'll have to see... ;)

3) No, but then again, no one is left alive to say. :)

3) Hmm I thought it was: Nobody have Returned to talk about this. What leave open that there might be some who managed to suvive but have no way to get back or communicate with anyone.

I see what you did there what with the ignoring the time-subject, Legate.

Smooth, but not smooth enough. ;)

Since magic does tend to fade away over centuries, and the islands have been in the sky for a while, has there been any signs of imminent doom by way of the islands crashing into Cyve?

Are there any fears from the public of such an event?

I vote we go catch ourselves a dragon and then learn the floaty magic they used to keep the islands up here where they belong. Alternatively we lower the islands a bit and trade/talk with Clyve... just enough to make us rich but without having to listen to them whine about how our islands block for the light for their flowerbeds..

I vote we use a nigh-invulnerable Adrian as bait first.wink.gif

One thing about duels.

There was one time I had decided to duel Philippe. (I lost the first time and reloaded)

I got the sword Jacedin and I actually used it during the duel. What I'm trying to phrase very politely is this. Did I just stab/slash/bash Philippe with a pointy, sharp and most importantly dangerous sword in a duel?

And I got away with it when I won?

I second the bait notion... :) If he's been practicing his magic he should at least survive with no *permanent* debilitating injuries...

And I do believe you did just get away with it... I suddenly understand why duels are frowned upon. ;)

Much more disturbing that it is 11-14 years old fighting these duels. You should think it would leave an lasting impression on children.

If my roleplay characther learn in that early age that she can get away with stabbing and bashing people with swords I sort of fear the things she might be attempting in year 5.

...

I personally think of it as one of these game things you just have to not think to deeply about because if you did you would have to conclude that everyone in the game world is more and less insane.
