A few in game questions

Yeah, so that time travel thing didn't end well. I don't want to talk about it... I'm back though :)

1. Regarding time glammours: Do they rely on one's own knowledge to show, or can they actually replay things?

2. Why exactly isn't there an emperor anymore? Is that lost to history?

3. Is it possible to create a "Rube Goldberg" machine with magical effects instead of physical objects?

4. Is it possible to make a trap for specific people? Say Phillipe had it out for you, so wanted to turn him and only him into an ardvark should he try to sneak into your room?

Freespace;

Onwards, to your questions! :)

1. Regarding time glammours: Do they rely on one's own knowledge to show, or can they actually replay things?

Good question. :)

2. Why exactly isn't there an emperor anymore? Is that lost to history?

In short: the Imperial line was never particular constant, and eventually it fell to the Imperial Temple to establish a nominal harmony amongst the nations by 'electing' an Emperor from among the Kings. Eventually, some of the lines of Kings died out, and the Kings of Monteon were elected Emperor almost constantly. After the fall of Monteon, the only King left was the King of Auncesay, who was palatable to no one (for many reasons tucked away in the Lores.) Periodically, the Imperial Temple tries to form a consensus on who should take the throne, but there is too much infighting for that at present.

3. Is it possible to create a "Rube Goldberg" machine with magical effects instead of physical objects?

Sure, if you had a lot of time and skill!

4. Is it possible to make a trap for specific people? Say Phillipe had it out for you, so wanted to turn him and only him into an ardvark should he try to sneak into your room?

Yes, it's possible. Difficult, of course, but possible.

I think a Perpetuum mobile would be much more interesting even if it have to look like a "Rube Goldberg" machine ;)

But I'm sure that some Machines geth theyr movment energy from Magic even if this magic dont last for ever it get close to what the Technicans whant to acive with the Perpetuum mobile.

Haha! If that is possible to make a clockwork soldier (without magic) I could see some possible benefits to it.

Here's a (possibly related) question:

How advanced are forensics? I remember reading in real life there was a time when it was all that they could do was check to see if a substance was indeed blood, as opposed to a substance that looked like it. Are there any more advanced modern techniques that are used thanks to magic?

...But people still understand the basics, yes??

Person need heart for blood and brain for... thinking!

Which actually brings up a question. What do Elumians think of blood-letting? The idea that you could bleed out any sickness? It's mostly not used today obviously, but in this setting, are things like leeches or maggots used as they might have been in real life in the olde days?

You are right! Priests do have access to some abilities which are clearly not magical in origin, and you are correct that some of these can heal. However, they do not have quite the diversity of options that a mage would.

Basia is from Plezyca, which is off the map, to the east of Reisengen.

Milena is from Pievre.

Emilia is from Ilica.

Vrenelle is from the Plaite.

Aveline is from Montevre.

I would guess the mirror doesn't reflect the frog since the target of illusion spell are organism with a brain that can perceive sight and thus tricking it into believing you are a frog. The mirror just reflect what it is unless the illusion is an image projection instead.

Although it would be more clear if we know what's the magical property of the mirror since what I described are just physical properties of it.

I don't believe there is one that is entirely in Renaglian, unfortunately! Chorda is probably a 'monte', though. :)

Ah, that is such a shame. It is so easy to forget that people are not using Oncestrian at Academagia (well unless they are in professor Sido's class). Actually, what other native languages do the developers have? I noticed some lists treat "ch" as a separate letter - which is not English alphabet...

Also, I noticed early that there are "Celts" in the game. Soo... any idea which other cultures if any, made the list. Do cultures of real world Europe east of Germany some analogues in the world of Academagia?
