Amada Feels Blue

I apologise if there is a similar event or adventure already in the game. I'm still discovering stuff I've never seen before.

Amada Feels Blue

You're late for your evening meal and your stomach is now admonishing you for your tardiness. You should have been at the Dining Hall ages ago; the main course might even be over!

Just in sight of the great doors you hear a muffled sob. Is that someone crying?

After a brief search you find @Amada Kiffer@ hiding in a shadowed nook. You pull back the tapestry hiding her and- her hair is startling shade of sapphire-blue! She quickly draws back from you, eyes puffy. Perhaps you should do something.

Exit 1: Leave. You know how moody Amada can be about her hair. Best to leave alone.

You're starving and you don't have the time to play ladies maid to Amada Kiffer.

You turn around and head straight into the Dining Hall. Whew, you're not as late as your feared. It's barely even begun. You're able to sneak in easily over the general clamour. However as you tuck into your piping hot fish stew, your mind drifts towards the weeping girl outside. Even dessert can't satisfy the hollow feeling in your stomach.

+1 Stress

Exit 2: Glamour: Cast Saving Face, that should revert her hair to normal. (There probably a better glamour spell out there for hair, but my old court-infiltrator character save isn't playing ball)

Success:- You grip Amada Kiffer by the shoulders and give her your assurances. You can fix this with a spell.

She sniffles once before nodding. Satisfied, you begin tracing the necessary phemes and with a deft twirl the spell is cast. A soft, golden dust swirls from the end of your wand. It shimmers momentarily before settling on Amada. Before your very eyes her hair reverts back to its normal shade. You think it looks even glossier and shinier than normal. Not that you'd tell her that.

Amada pulls out her pocket mirror and gasps. Obviously pleased at the results, she pulls you into the Dining Hall. While you are both slightly late, you manage to sneak to seats at the back of the hall and you spend the rest of the evening chatting away with each other.

Failure:- You grip Amada Kiffer by the shoulders and give her your assurances. You can fix this with a spell.

She sniffles once before nodding. Satisfied, you begin tracing the necessary phemes and with a grandiose twirl the spell is cast. And nothing happens...

You flash Amada a nervous smile. “I guess that didn't go so well.”

Fresh tears well up in her eyes. She pushes past you and runs towards the Vernin Dormitories.

At a loss, you continue on to the Dining Hall. Luckily, you aren't too late and manage to sneak in at the back. However, even Cook's Famous Fish Stew can't lift your feeling of failure.

Exit 3: Negation: Cast a Negation spell. That should revert her hair.

Success:- You grip Amada Kiffer by the shoulders and give her your assurances. You can fix this with a spell.

She sniffles once before nodding. Satisfied, you begin tracing the necessary phemes and with a deft twirl the spell is cast. Iridescent motes swirl from the end of your wand. They shimmer momentarily before settling on Amada. Before your very eyes her hair reverts back to its normal shade. You think it looks even glossier and shinier than normal. By the (insert lore-appropriate exclamation here)! She's turned purple too! Fumbling with your excuses you turn-tail and race to your Dormitory.

Amada's screech can be heard echoing in the distance.

Exit 4: Brute Strength: Your pockets have been feeling rather light lately.

Success:- Everyone knows how touchy Amada is about her hair and how wealthy her family are. This is the perfect time to cash in.

You grip Amada's arm and begin to pull her towards the Dining Hall. “What are you doing!” her voice shrill. You inform her that you think the whole school should see her charming new hair colour... Of course, if she wanted to avoid the whole public unveiling a small cash donation wouldn't go amiss.

With inevitable force, you drag her even further towards the door. “Stop! Here, that's all I have on me.” She hands a small, but full money pouch into your hand.

You smile before heading into the Hall. After all, you're still hungry.

However, you aren't quite as strong as you think you are. Amada struggles with you every step and with one swift kick to the shin she breaks free. She runs off towards her dormitory, leaving you nursing your injured leg and cursing your weak grip.

Investigation 1: Conversation: Perhaps if you get her to talk you'll know better how to help.

Success:- You softly shush Amada until she calms down enough to tell you what happened. It seems that @Cante Caviti@ had created a potion to hair vitality and had convinced Amada to try it. Turning her hair blue was just a curious side effect.

Now you know the whole story you feel better equipped to solve the problem.

Failure:- Try as you might, you can't get Amada to stop crying enough to tell you what happened.

Exit 5:- Court Hairstyles: Try to style her hair.

Success:- Now that you've calmed Amada down, you begin to formulate a plan. Hasn't Lady Rosalia just recently dyed her hair flame-red and wears it with golden ribbons enchanted to glow like the sun? Perhaps you can use her hair colour to your advantage before you fix it.

You ask Amada if she has any fancy hairpins. She nods; she has some with glass diamonds on the ends. Perfect! You quickly tell her your plan as you both race back to her Dormitory, the corridor bare of students and instructors alike.

It takes a good while to fix her hair just so. It needed curled and pinned with artful precision, but as you dramatically open the Dining Hall doors you can tell it was worth it. All eyes turn to admire Amada. Her hair sapphire hair cascading and glittering like a night full of stars. You leave Amada alone, compliments and enquiries bursting from all sides.

Good. You're just in time for dessert!

Now that is a very sweet event! (Sweet in the 'hip' and now slightly outdated fachion)

I particularly like the Brute Strength option - not that I'd use it but it is very neat that it is there!

The Hairstyle option is very kind, I would honestly like to see her after the character has finished with it (if we get a success, naturally).
