Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; Oh! Hmmmmmmm... It's generally beyond Y1 normal Skill level, so I'd probably think of it as 7-10.
Metis
FYI, Miles To Go has the option of using Negation to levitate and it's a roll v.4 during the first stage.
Legate of Mineta
Metis; That would definitely suggest a below 5- maybe it's a stretch? But there it is, Schwarzbart.
Metis
Not really. At least I imagine that levitating over a canyon during a typhoon would be somewhat more difficult than levitating just above the ground during comfortable weather. Legate of Mineta
Metis; Yeah. Maybe this is telling the Team the difficulty needs to be reviewed.
Schwarzbart
The problem is as soon your main skill of Negation reach 3 you get a boost of 1 to each sub skill and the main skill what would mean the actual spell for Levitation would be at level 3 or below. Schwarzbart
1) if I understand The Aultrine Problem adventure right one need a good link to a place to actual teleport without error. Is it planed that we see this kind of mechanic outside of adventure in a later year? (Do I smell the idea of an arcane connection as Ars Magica is describing them in this adventure? )
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; I am afraid I cannot comment.
freespace2dotcom
Schwarzbart, that seems very likely, given what we know of Gates Magic. In Pot summoning, preparation is needed for a spell to find a specific pot. The runes in that story serve as a connection to a place and could probably be used as a conduit for a Gates spell destination. (allowing the spell to find the correct place to teleport to.) If that is true, though it means that Dicossa is not anywhere near a beginner to Gates as I would bet that this level of 'compensating for no preparation work' is fairly tricky stuff. I would expect that the Chaos factor would still be present though.
Schwarzbart
1) just found out after uncountable games that the ability Favor can be changed into Cancel Duel and Reprimand! Are there more such actions / abilities that can be change its function the same way as Favor?
Metis
Changed how? And just curious, but did you discover that on a save file that had an item confiscated from your student before?
Schwarzbart
How to change: Over the line where you set the professor there is favor and on the right side of it there is a selector as well, that's where you can change it. And its during my RPG game where I had no real detention so far (In the story I had 2 but one was just told to cover up a favor where I unlocked fish 11 and the other was a adventure)
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; Hmmm, I think that's the only one.
Schwarzbart
1) Are spells like Improve Negation or Vail of Aversion temporary change to the aura of the target to improve or reduce the chances with a magic pillar?
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; All magic will alter the aura slightly, so yes, definitely.
Schwarzbart
Ok now I think there are actual some people able to change the aura for a long time just not like some hope for ever in combine enchant technique with spells like Improve Negation. But there probably also many more charlatan out there then actual people who can do this kind of enchantment for decades or longer.
Schwarzbart
1) How new is he whole Pâtisserie thing at the world of Academagia? In our world it was something that only developed in the 19th century when refined suggar became common. (source) 2) What source of sugar do Mineta have and how is it refined?
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; 1) Sugar arrived during the Empire, so it is relatively 'old' compared to us. 2) Sugarcane, and it is dried and extracted.
Schwarzbart
1) How common are dwarf and pixie in Mineta and Academagia? Just wondering because both races where used to give the height of the Mayor of Alberdine.
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; They are not common, but popularly recognized enough to be known.
Schwarzbart
From albert: (He asked this over at greenlight but I don't have the exact answer to this my self) 1) Which professions got clothing/colour restrictions? Never been a fan of restrictions, but I guess there is a reason you can't be dressed as a city official, medical doctor or lawenforcement if that isn't your profession.
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart and Albert; Almost all do- the only ones which do not are those without a guild, or foreigners.
Schwarzbart
1) So its nearly a caste system the people living in? Once you finished your time as apprentice your forced to be in the guild till your dead?
Legate of Mineta
S; Like Europe of the time, if you are an artisan or a professional, being guilded is almost required. Of course, there are many differences between cities and the power of the guilds.
Schwarzbart
compared to the serf system that was common in Europa before the guilds became strong its a great improvement in freedom.
