Schwarzbart
1) How respected are the wealthy noble family of our player with the Sky Pirate or Secret Background in Mineta? Also it looks like you missed the PM I send yesterday.
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart; Well, in the case of Secret Background, you'd be as respected as any other wealthy noble (ie, based on your wealth.) Sky Pirates, though, you'd be the lowest...although still treated seriously. I'll check!
freespace2dotcom
Sky Pirates, though, you'd be the lowest...although still treated seriously. What about Those related to traitors? I suppose it depends on what that great error was... While I can't expect you to actually tell us what it was, would you say that there might have been mitigating circumstances behind that action? Legate of Mineta
Free; HmmmmMMM. Sure, there's always another side.
Ascartand
What kind of a band the Pheme-nomenons are? As in what instruments do they play and how in the world they did became so popular that it seems most of Academagia know who they are despite drawing students from all over Elumia
Legate of Mineta
Ascartand; Hahaha! All good questions. [Redacted]!
Ascartand
NOOO! Curse the Pheme-nomenons! Them and their nefarious plans for world conquest.
Ascartand
Now to think of it. Is there any other bands equivalent to the popularity of the Pheme-nomenons led by Bradley? Or is Elumia just going through an exclusively love song phase.
Legate of Mineta
Ascartand; Hmm, I'll ask.
Legate of Mineta
Ascartand; And here you are. "The Pheme-noms are famous in our circles because they (or at least most of the original members) are former students of the Academy - or, at least, that's the story. There's a lot of Glamour involved in their appearances, and none of the professors are quite sure what their real names are, so it could all be an artful con. That said, the quality of the aforementioned Glamour magic (and a hint of enchantment) suggests otherwise. They're very, very good at magically casting their performances across multiple venues on multiple islands, and they've created a young fan base that largely transcends the pseudo-national boundaries of the post-Imperial period. As for what they sound like... okay, imagine the vocals from Weeknd's "Starboy," only with the music sounding more like Corvus Corax's " ." On surreal, hallucinatory magical instruments. [We don't endorse it, we just describe.] As for other popular musical acts: there's Felicia dei Dannati, the Glamourati, Justice and the Dance, and the Fantastic Wind-Kickers. Just for a start- this doesn't include the more famous troubadours. :)"
Ascartand
Yeah after looking up those songs up, I can gather that they are like a boyband, one that has lots of girls chasing after them. How many relationships have they broken or made?
Legate of Mineta
Ascartand; A number.
Ascartand
Alright one last question for the night.Would girls choose this band over the unstoppable force known as Cyrus "Pretty Boy of Avila and chick-magnet of Academagia" Dawes?
Legate of Mineta
Ascartand; If they were in the same room, you mean? Probably they'd chose the band.
Ascartand
Hmmm unexpected but nice to know. Though I suppose Olivia Solari would still choose Cyrus over the band. If you say otherwise then I have no choice but to assume the Pheme-nomenons are using Mastery to control their fans and disguise it through use of glamour. Legate of Mineta
I can only say [Redacted].
Ascartand
Alright I am now convinced they are using music to conquer the world through the hearts of rabid fangirls. An idea Miron would endorse and probably utilize in his bid for the Imperial Throne....well aside from the fangirls.
freespace2dotcom
Can a non-musically trained wizard create a good song? Or at least something that people 'think' is good? (W/O Mastery of course.) If so, then...
Legate of Mineta
Free; Sure.
Schwarzbart
1) Are there already good recordings of music that can be sold to the masses? 2) Live music is probably still one of the main entertainment, what level of music and glamour is enough to earn a living in this field? I suspect 20 maybe 30 of both should be enough.
Ascartand
Another question. How are stalkers handled within the Academagia?
Legate of Mineta
Schwarzbart & Ascartand; 1) No, nothing mass produced, although there are specialty recordings for patrons and collectors. 2) For a living? I would think the range you describe. 3) That depends on the Regents of your College...and, to a certain degree, how wealthy or influential the target.
Ascartand
Lets say it is the regent of Hedi and the target of said stalker is a musician of high caliber say from...... Godina. Edit: Oh and the stalker is of noble blood and the highest wealth.
Schwarzbart
Uhmm I think such thing can only happen to first year as with 2 nd year the glamour knowledge of a Hedi should be enough to avoid the stalker from Godina. Edit so the answer is probably the Regent would teach the target some new Glamour that can used in this case and if the target can't handle this magic its her fault.
Ascartand
You misunderstood. The student from Hedi is the stalker while the target is from Godina.
