freespace2dotcom
I saw the Negation Exam and decided I had to do one too. Thinking about it, I realized that the exam that would be most like a test that we are familiar with would be Calligraphy, and knowing who teaches Calligraphy was a bonus for me, seeing as I'm an Aranaz student and know him well... ---------------------------------- The Calligraphy Exam The following Exam will test your capabilities with Calligraphy as well as your ability to follow directions. Do not open this cover until you are told to do so. The following two quills, ink compounds, and three empty ink bottles are provided for you. You are not to put to parchment anything other than what has been provided for you. I will know. ====================================================================== Page 1. Congratulations! If you can read this page, it is because you waited until I told you to open the cover. If you had not, This page would have been smothered in ink. I remind you that it is the Academagia's policy to deduct points for answers rendered illegible due to ink smothering. Also, Though it shouldn't need to be said, telling other students with inked pages the contents of this page is considered cheating. 1) With the compounds provided, make a standard blue ink and fill one bottle as you have been taught in class. (20 Points) Note that the components have been enchanted to make the ink run. It is MY policy to heavily deduct points from students who cannot undo this enchantment after I specifically told you all that this would be a part of the exam. 2) With the blue ink you have just made, and the quill labelled #1, Write in your own words, why you ought to pass this exam (at least 50 words, and I expect perfect penmanship) (40 points) 3) On Page #2, you are to disregard question #4. To put it more clearly, do NOT do anything with the component labeled "???" If you do not do anything with that component, you will get full credit for both questions #3 and #4. If you follow the directions on question #4, you will not get credit for either question. (10 points) ========================================================================= Page 2. 4) With your already mixed ink, add a drop of the component labeled "???" (50 points) 5) With Blue ink, Copy with flawless accuracy, the contents of page #3. (30 points. Bonus 20 if magic is used.) ========================================================================== Page 4. 6) Mix together standard black ink with the components provided, using your second bottle. (20 points) 7) With the black ink you have made, and the provided quill labelled #2, write the contents of the blackboard. (40 points) Note that this quill is enchanted to always write "I deserve to fail this exam" If this the answer you give for this question you will receive a penalty of 20 points in addition to no credit for this question. =========================================================================== Page 5. This exam is over. Turn in all pages in order, as well as all materials you had been given for this exam. Bonus points will be awarded to those who A) turn in their 3rd bottle without anything in it, and Manage to somehow turn in a STILL SEALED bottle of the component labeled "???" Leoshi
*Puts on Glasses of Authority* Mistake #1 - Question 3 is not confusing enough Mistake #2 - Telling the students they could earn a bonus using magic Mistake #3 - Telling the students the quill is enchanted, do you really want them to pass without being more observant? Mistake #4 - Using in place of B ) Overall grade - B+

CremePudding
To be fair a store-bought one is probably better than what most student can do with the exception of the player or Asmita

freespace2dotcom
*Puts on Glasses of Authority* Mistake #1 - Question 3 is not confusing enough Mistake #2 - Telling the students they could earn a bonus using magic Mistake #3 - Telling the students the quill is enchanted, do you really want them to pass without being more observant? Mistake #4 - Using in place of B ) Overall grade - B+ For 1, If I did not specifically say what was to be done, it would have been TOO confusing and nobody would have gotten it right. The objective was mainly to punish the students who would not be able to follow directions. Only those who could read the page would get 3 (and 4) right, so I feel justified in what I did. For 2, A simple encouragement. Calligraphy as we know it now is less about magic and more about writing and form. That will change eventually, but the reason I gave a bonus was for all the students who screwed up the first page. If they could use magic for it, they could try to get a (barely) passing grade. for 3, The fact that the quill will write "I deserve to fail this exam" is pretty damning proof that it's enchanted. My method spares accidental writing an incorrect answer and allows the exam to punish stupidity. justified. for 4. I DID write It is not my fault that the forum incorrectly assumes certain text to be smileys. I refuse to bend my writing and add a 'space' just for that. Leoshi
So are you angry or role-playing Professor Sixt?
freespace2dotcom
So are you angry or role-playing Professor Sixt? *Facepalm* 1. This is a Calligraphy exam. 2. Professor Sixt teaches this class. 3. Because he teaches the class, he would have written this Calligraphy exam. 4. Since he would be the one to write the exam, it would be influenced by his personality. I thought that that was pretty obvious.
Leoshi
Eh I was referring to your last reply. It sounded like you were very annoyed with my post. So sorry if you were offended. And a suggestion: How many points will be awarded if a student uses different and appropriate forms (<-- subskill)?
freespace2dotcom
No, I wasn't angry or roleplaying, just matter-of-factly stating my rebuttal. And you can feel free to decide the different forms points yourself if you want.
