Schwarzbart
I already asked if it is Ok with them per PM and got the OK from the Legath a while back. He was even thinking about renaming this subforum as soon they do a other Kickstarter. Edit: I just send him a PM again as we then probably full take over this subforum and just in chase something changed on theyr side.
Legate of Mineta
Yeah, a Sub-Forum makes sense- just let me know what it should be named, and I'll ask the Team to create it. I think they do plan to rename this Forum overall, probably to the Ars Magica Forum Game or something.
Schwarzbart
If the subforum will be just for our RPG then I suggest to name it after the covenant "City of Ivory and Jade RPG"

cj.23
Right, life here has suddenly become complicated by a little snow that has amusingly caused chaos in the UK. As a result I'm hours behind schedule on email and the forum, and only just catching up. I will reply tonight I promise! I just have to ensure Lisa gets home safely what with all the bus cancellations etc. Thank you to the Black Chicken folks for their astonishing kindness with the forum and letting us use it so much. I think we should all try and promote their games on Facebook etc, and I'm thinking about ways ot do just this. I hope soon to have a decent pc, well loan of one, and then I will write proper reviews on my blog cj x

Nagashofchaos
Here some info I got from talking with CJ. These are unfiltered so cut out the parts that are important. Catacombs They have a most sinister reputation. Some attempts have been made to map them, but one magus (Brithonicus of Flamnbeau) was lost early in the exploration of the city, and the others have tended to avoid them so far: as the years pass, they have largely forgotten about them. (You can sahre this info with the others) Initiation Scripts Yes. They are used to gain new Virtues (and Flaws). In House Criamon you will eventually get to learn these, and gain odd new powers. However you need ot raise your house Criamon Lore first

Goricious' lab was there. The magi never invited apprentices to visit other towers, and Baruch alone has been in all four as a guest, and fairly briefly in some cases. Each tower has three labs, and the palace a single "guest" lab.

Schwarzbart
wow I just read at the Atlas Games forum that The Exceptional Book Major External Boon (Cov p20) puts the limit on "the finest summa ever written" at 35 BP. If this is true our 4 Art books with 31BP are realy amough the best ever writen not to talk about the two 35 BP summa for abilitys. I wonder anyway how a ability Summa with a level of 8 or 9 is possible as the writer need to have at last 16 / 18 in the ability (probably higher to raise the quality). Adrian
The tower seems to be intended for more magi, but Calpurnia seems to be claiming more and more for herself (Not exactly with Antonius' good will)
Nagashofchaos
Now now now, it's all for the good of the covenant, messing around with forces beyond your comprehention tend to need more space than expected. Thus the exansionist personality, and remember "peace in our time"... but as Antonius makes the final call, technically I have probably the average amount. Schwarzbart
Just spoted something other ... We have a Tractus with a QL of 13 from the core Rules the author need to have Com 4 and Good Teacher to do this! Or do I miss something there? Nyaa
Or do I miss something there? If whoever ancient wizard that can build a city that can permanently fly and have money to build towers makes of gem, then ultra high quality tractus and book is not really out of the question. Schwarzbart
Given enough time and Vis I think my new Mage can also build up the magic part of such a city maybe with the exception of the water system and the vis supply. (Sure he still have to learn for a vew decades bevore starting such a thing but its on the path he started) But repairing a failing magic device is something entire different and probably even more difficult then "just building new" but yes thats also one of the things my magus will learn given enough time and finding a way to avoid the resulting Hubris of initating in this secret. The weaker tractus of the same autor are easy within the reach of someone who is a good teacher (QL 11 = Good Teacher + Com 2). So I suspect the Autor Edward of Milton found a spell that increased his com by 2 for Moon duration and used it when writing the newest tractus or got his hand on a magic item that do so. (The Spell would be lvl 65 and need to be cast twice)
