A clique member looking for help (Year 2)

I wanted to do a adventure that gives a bit more clique involvement but with little change it also can be a adventure of a specific NPC student.

 

Step 1

 

Request to help with a job

 

*actor1* comes to you asking if you are willing to help him with a simply guard job today.

"I learned that a private collector looking for a temporal replacement of his normal guard who is sick."

"He is willing to pay good money for just a few hours of work."

"Will you join me?"

 

Exit 1) Yes

Sure why not, you just pick up some things from you dorm then your ready to go.

Direct continue to Step 2

 

Exit 2) No

You tell *actor1* that you sadly have no time today

-1 Relationship with *actor1*; adventure ends

 

*actor1* is a clique member preferable with low money

Step 2

 

"The boring guard duty"

 

The private collector welcomes you really happy in his house and show you the room where he have his "treasures" on display.

This treasures are actual different clockworks like a miniature ornithopter, a miniature woodworker shop, some different music instrument players and even a writer around your size.

Because your not allowed to touch the clockworks the guard duty soon became boring and you wonder if you could stand it to wait all the hours if something happen.

Good thing your not alone and so you talk with *actor1* about this and that when suddenly some strange scratching noises get to your ear.

A sort moment later there 2 people in dark cloths standing in the door. Some very focused with light is coming from them with a single green light beam going at a slight different direction.

What are you doing?

 

1) Glamour

Success: You make the illusion of some horrifying ghosts that about to attack the thief's and they run away screaming. They left something behind on the floor, a amulet.

2) Intimidation Scare them off

Success: You focus them with you eyes and make some extravagant moves with your wand. That was already enough to get them running. They left something behind on the floor, a amulet.

General Failure: One of the thief's throw something in your direction and so you dive for cover when suddenly the room got filled with smoke. After the smoke clears up you realised that the thief's are gone and one of the clockworks is missing. The collector isn't happy about this and told you that he is not paying you but at last he not charge you for the missing piece of his collection.

+1 Stress Adventure ends.

 

(The thief didn't expect any guards as they paid the regular guard to stay away for the day and then there now mages guarding the room)

Step 3

 

Inspect the Amulet

 

The Amulet you found is a three quarter circle with a small green jewel in the centre and strange holes going trough all the amulet except of the jewel.

*actor1* point you to the shadow it casts and they looking like a map but with a large part of it missing.

Probably you need to find the last quarter of the amulet to read the map.

The jewel of this amulet was probably the reason for the green light beam you saw.

But what where the thief's looking for? Maybe the missing piece is hidden in this room?

 

1) Go talk with your employer

Autosuccess: By the end of your guard duty you talk with the collector about the thief's and the amulet you found. He is exited about going on a treasure hunt and tell you that if the missing piece is found with his collection he is will to share this amulet piece with you and cover the necessary travel cost for a 50% share of the treasure.

After you agree to his conditions he tell you that he suspect the Lute Player Clockwork might be their goal as it is his newest acquisition.

2) Memorize: remember where the light have pointed to

Success: Even if it wasn't long you saw the light beam you remember that it pointed toward a man sized clockwork lute player.

3) Glamour: create some light

 

4) Revision: Focus the surrounding light trough the jewel

 

5) Use your Focused Light

Req: Focused Light

Autosuccess:

 

3-5 Success: You manage to focus enough light trough this tiny jewel and a green light beam appears pointing toward a man sized clockwork lute player.

Direct Continue to Step 4

 

2-4 Failure: You made to much noise and the collector enters the room. When he angry enter the room you decided its best to talk with him about the thief's and the amulet. Because he is exited about going on a treasure hunt he tell you that if the missing piece is found with his collection he is will to share this amulet piece with you and cover the necessary travel cost for a 50% share of the treasure.

After you agree to his conditions he tell you that he suspect the Lute Player Clockwork might be their goal as it is his newest acquisition.

Step 4

 

Inspecting the Lute Player

 

You know there must be something with this clockwork lute player. But one a first inspection you can't see the missing amulet piece. Maybe there is something hidden in it?

 

Lute: Listen to the Music

 

Clockworks: check the mechanism

 

Puzzle: Test the clockwork

 

Success: One of the Strings is not played and when you pull on this string a secret compartment opens. The missing piece of the amulet is in it. As soon you put the piece to the empty place in the amulet it merges with the amulet. At the end of your watch we also got the payment for the guard duty.

+ Job reward Pims. (Should given to all chars of the clique) Direct continue to Step 5

 

Failure: That damn clockwork! You have no plan what to do with it! Even with your feeling telling you that there must be something you can't make out what it is. Maybe you have to come back at a other day with a clear mind? The problem is just that you probably have to find a way in as this collection is not open to the public. At last we got the payment for a good guard duty.

Step 5

 

Draw the Map

Back at the Academagia you found your self a silent place to put the shadow map on a paper because you doubt you will always have good conditions to create the shadow-map.

 

1) Forgery: Use your ability to create good fakes

 

2) Draw: Just draw the shadow outlines

 

3) Illustration: You worked on enough book pictures so this should no problem

 

Success: You manage to make a good copy of the shadow-map and it looks like the treasure is buried on a small island near Mineta.

Continue to Step 6

 

Failure: You wasted a lot of time but didn't manage to get a exact enough copy of the map. You have to try again on a other day.

Step 6

 

Arrange the trip

 

1) The collector will pay for a Airship

Req.: Work together with the collector

Autosucess: You meet again with the collector who already arranged for the transport to the island. After a short uneventful flight with a airship you now only have to find the treasure.

Direct Continue to Step 7

 

2) You have a item that can get you there

Req.: Magic Carpet or similar item that can transport a group

Autosuccess: Nothing better then to use your own magic items to get over to the island and after a uneventful flight you now can start searching for the treasure.

3) Transport: Look for a Air Ship

Req.: Enough Money

Success: Yea you found a Captain who is willing to get you over to this island and then pick you up again a few hours later. Sure it did cost you some Money but now you can set sails for the treasure hunt. The short trip to the isle was uneventful and now you only have to find what your looking for and hope its worth it.

Failure: Even with enough money at hand you didn't find a ship you could hire to fly you to the island and then some hour later back to Mineta.

4) Temperance: Lend winged horses at the Middle Ranch. (best let the writer of the Horse Adventure have a look how he would prefer to have this written)

Req.: Horse Adventure finished

Success: The parents of Peter and Susan are bickering again when you visit the ranch but you managed to get them calmed down. After some talk with them they are willing to lend you some of their winged horses for today. After some lesson how to ride them you have a great fly over to the isle on the back of this beauties.

Riding +1; Direct Continue to Step 7

Failure: The Parents of Peter and Susan are at it again and you simply could get up the patience to stay long enough for them to stop with their bickering. At last you know now that the ranch is still running despite them have different views. Still it looks like you better get a different way of transport or at try here again at a other day.

Autosuccess: For now you have no good plan how to get over to that Island that suits your purse.

Step 7

 

Follow the map

 

1) Carthography: Use your knowledge of different Maps

 

2) Navigation: Try to Navigate according to the Landmarks on the map

 

3) Trigonometry: Read is as Geometry puzzle.

 

Success: Its not easy to find the right location from the map you have with you but when your near the spot you got the amulet out again and with the shadow map, what changed now from what you have drawn, you found the exact place below a strange bush. That you can help with the digging you put the amulet around your neck.

Failure: You digging at 3 different places and now your sure there is no treasure! When you got the amulet out there was even a bird snatching it away from you and then escaping with it. What a waste in time and money!

Step 8

 

Start to dig

 

You start to dig at the place shown by the map and soon you hit something solid. Its a chest and after some more coordinated work you have it on the surface.

It have a strange clockwork lock and you have no key for it. How are you planning to open the chest?

 

1) Clockworks: look at the visible mechanics

 

2) Lockpick: pick the lock

 

3) Revison: You know a spell for this

Req.: Open Lock

 

1-3 Success: As soon the chest is open something transparent in the size of a fist fly towards you. You try to avoid it put its to fast and hit the amulet you have around your neck. You feel the amulet crumbling to dust and something cold spreading in your chest. The strange coldness ends after a short time but something still don't feel right.

Looking at your chest you see that some blood-red stone is partial buried in your skin!

-2 Vitality; add chestjewel; direct continue to Step 9

 

1-3 Failure: When you try to get the clockwork lock open some of the cogs and springs shooting direct in your face and that really hurt! The good thing is that you can now open the chest but what's that? Something is flying right at your chest and avoiding it you even stumble over your friend but it still hit you in the chest!

You can feel the amulet crumbling to dust and something cold spreading in your chest. The strange coldness ends after a short time but something still don't feel right.

Looking at your chest you see that some blood-red stone is partial buried in your skin!

-3 Vitality; Embracement; add chestjewel; Direct continue to step 9

 

This chestjewel gives:

+1 Fitness

+1 Strength

+2 all Athletic SS

-2 Vitality max.

 

But it also prevent one/ the Chest tattoo slot of been used.

Step 9

 

Share the treasure

 

Beside the thing that now is in your chest there some normal jewels and a old clockwork pocket watch that show the positions of the planets beside the time and date.

 

Investigation 1) Pay XXX Pims for the Pocket Watch

Req.: Enough Money and not Work together with the collector

add Pocket Watch that gives +2 Planets, +1 Astronomy, +1 Flawless Timing

 

1) The collector claim the Pocket Watch as his share

Req.: Work together with the collector

Instead of his 50% the Collector decided to take the Pocket Watch as his share of the treasure. After you got back to Mineta you sold the jewels and split the money between all your clique members.

Even spread the money of the jewels between all Clique Members.

 

2) Sell everything in Mineta

Req.: NOT Work together with the collector

After you got back to Mineta you sold everything and the split the money between your clique members.

Even spread the money of the jewels + pocket watch between all Clique Members

Step 4a

 

Visit the collection again

 

Because you failed to find the missing amulet piece during your guard duty you now have the problem how to get into the private collection again to inspect this Clockwork Lute Player. Maybe its best to talk with him? Or do you have other more sinister plans?

 

Investigation 1) Lockpick: Open the door (more difficult then Step 8)

 

Investigation 2) Revision: Open the door with a spell

Req.: Open Lock

 

1) You have a agreement with the Collector

Req: Work together with the collector

 

Because you already have a agreement with the Collector you just walk over to his house so you can visit his collection again.

Direct Continue to Step 4b

 

2) Talk with the collector

Req: Not Work together with the collector

 

You visit the house of the collector and decided its best to talk with him. When you mentioned the amulet the thief's have lost he tell you that if the missing piece is found with his collection he is willing to share this amulet piece with you and cover the necessary travel cost for a 50% share of the treasure.

After you agree to his conditions he tell you that he suspect that it must have something to do with the Lute Player Clockwork as it is his newest acquisition.

3) Move Silent: Get past the Guard
