@Legate of Mineta: 1. Is the Team still debating whether new skills/subskills should be added to Y2?

2. Is the class list finalized?

3. Is the Course list finalized?

4. Will there be new student NPCs in Y2?

For 1-3, they are not finalized.

For 4, yes. In fact, you may see some familiar faces...;)

Does the non-finalization of Y2's courses, new skills, and class lists evidence that Y2 is not almost done?

I am forbidden to say one way or another, but I wouldn't expect those to be final until the very end, just as it was with Y1.

We'd love to do one, but we've finished the set of Familiars for Y2. Hopefully in future years.

It means that a Familiar that was previously confirmed to (not) be in the game has(n't) been added after all. Alternatively the Team has enacted a decision to answer all Y2 related questions with [redacted], retroactively or otherwise, but of course they'd never do something like that, so...

1. So we can keep our Year 1 familiars I assume? And they might have new year 2 quests? If you put some work into training them t odo stuff it would be crazy to just ditch them all of a sudden.

2. Will we be able to learn that skill to add an additional familiar in year 2? If we put some extra effort into it. Or is that year 3?

3. I wonder what the dynamic would be between two familiars both bonded to the same wizard.... Maybe a lore entry on that?

For 2) The Legate already told us a while back that we can have more then just 1 familiar in year 2, but as always everything we got told about year 2 can still be changed before the game is be released.

2) It's in Y2, but it is College specific. There are some exceptions, of course...

I'm thinking a certain stupid rock may or may not be one of those exceptions. hehe

Its my suspicion that people who change their familiar in year 1 and did all 4 related familiar quests could end with 2 familiar at the start of year 2 (beside that if the player had the rock as familiar it for sure come back)

I'm just guessing here, but certain friendships and doing their friendship quests might also be a way. Maybe a quest where a friend in that college is getting a second familiar, or wants help with getting a second familiar accepted as a familiar. If it's a skill then perhaps doing the quest gives you the primer for the otherwise college specific skill. Then you just have to put some additional work and research into it maybe.

It's one way of addign long term rewards to friendships, getting involved in stuff that usualy remains either a tradition or secret of another college.
