Is this Saved Game Useless in Y2?

I played the attached saved game using the Familiar Selection mod. The game became corrupted near the end, so that I could not use the adventure action without crashing the game. But the character was not meant to be an adventurer - as the character's name suggests, he is a budding mad scientist. In that, he succeeded admirably. So, my question is whether it is impossible to salvage this saved game for Y2. If not, then I am very sad about this.

How can you be sure? Have you downloaded it?

Have you or the Team tried using a corrupted Y1 autosave in Y2 yet? And is Y2 far enough along that it can take Y1 autosaves?
