mhv3
So it's fixed? And the unlocks come from Skills and Locations?
Legate of Mineta
mhv3; Correct. It is fixed, and it comes from Locations. Some Locations, however, are given by Skills.
Draigh
Do we need to go to the location and do an action there to unlock it? Or is knowing about the location enough to unlock it?
Legate of Mineta
Draigh; Simply knowing about it is enough.
laclongquan
How do the classwork SS gained calculate? For one character it seem to be pretty fixed (only detention gained SS changes due to difference in relationship) but is it fixed across all character? Legate of Mineta
It is semi-randomly fixed. That is, the increases you will see from the Class are fixed, but the Day you will see them mostly is not.
laclongquan
Righto! And here's a fine pickle I got myself in. My latest creation got no link to research subject whatsoever. So how do I get access to it. This girl is very new so she cant cast spell or know many places. EDit: Nevermind! Silly me, it's Study Habit, of course. mhv3
Draigh; Simply knowing about it is enough. This might be broken in some cases. I'm 98% sure the unlock for Archeaology Research is "The Wyrm Yurarauth Archeaological Dig", but I didn't gain that topic until after I had visited it. I visited it then rested twice and the topic appears with no new locations discovered.
Legate of Mineta
mhv3; Thanks, we'll examine this. It may be that the Topic is only unlocked after Visitation, as you suggest (which is incorrect behavior.) Thanks!
Draigh
With my testgames I have been training lots of skills, gained several locations and have yet to unlock a single research topic
laclongquan
That;s hard to believe.
Draigh
Easy to believe if you keep in mind that I do not VISIT any locations, nor use any special training options like libraries to not contaminate my findings. If I unlock several skills at the same time, things might get messed up with not clear what gets unlocked by which skill. Maybe I should make a round of visits now to see which research topics get unlocked
LLSix
Are there any ways to boost research levels faster than a single skill step at a time? There are lots of ways to increase study levels and something else and Zoe Mellis can boost you multiple study levels at a time but the only way to increase research levels is with the research action which does nothing else. Schwarzbart
There is the Library club adventure where you get a ability that give 2 random research steps in one go but otherwise only via mod.
