Monteverdi
My character just got "You've temporarily increased Your Chance of Success by 15." I'm not sure what this means, as it comes out of nowhere. It's not linked to any explanatory passage, either. Ideas?
Legate of Mineta
Monteverdi; This is feedback from an Event, and is probably due to an Investigation you succeeded at. It is temporary, and does not last outside of the Event.
Monteverdi
This begs the question: if it doesn't last outside an event you've already succeeded at, and you know you've succeeded, does your temporary increase in chance of success for that event bear mentioning? Draigh
Might it not be better to mention this IN the event? Then we know it's temporary, and that the action just taken does have effect.
Ranielle Limeleaf
On another note ( totally stealing your topic ) I never get any Fitness increases when running. Sad panda. With that out of my system, on topic: Well, the game tries to inform you of what happened to your character and it makes you smile when you see that your skillpoints in investigation skills are well spent and actually helped you. Perhaps in the text towards the conclusion of the event it can be hinted at, after you've made your choice of responses. Well, the game tries to inform you of what happened to your character and it makes you smile when you see that your skillpoints in investigation skills are well spent and actually helped you. Oh, no question about that. I just think it creates an unintended bit of misdirection as it's currently placed.
Legate of Mineta
Monteverdi; We'll see what we can do, although I suspect that this won't be looked at until we do our general Story review. Thanks!
