emerssso
The Athletic Fields currently reduce visitors stress by 2, just as they always have. However, to receive this benefit, one must now use an active Ability, whereas before, one only had to set the Fields as the Prep. Location. My question is: What makes this better than Resting? Previously, I used the Athletic Fields as a prep location if I had a lot of stress and still wanted to get things done. Now, I doubt I'll ever go there, it's more effective just to Rest, right? Am I missing something? Just wanted to see if there were any thoughts about how this new Ability could be used effectively.
Legate of Mineta
Emerssso; The reason you might do this is if you are managing your Emotions, but still do not want high Stress. That said, DLC 1 will review this Location and give an additional gain. Thanks!
laclongquan
No, in this current patch3+content, Athletic lose its lustre. In early age it's more effective to rest. After we get Freak Show and Circus, it's more effective to get partial rest by working for Circus. The point for rest by spells still stands but it depend on the skill you use to cast spell. Avatar Of Woe
Actually they seem to have a random element. Can anyone confirm this?
Draigh
I think not so much random as related to skills one has or not. Improve skills and some emotions might not pop up anymore, maybe replaced by something else that does pop up afterwards (or in different conditions). laclongquan
maybe related to number of stress and vitality? at low vit and zero stress i usually got elation after 1 week (?). maybe relate to some subskill as well (courage, piety, endurance). Legate of Mineta
They are not random, but have a variety of entry and exit triggers.
laclongquan
Oh yeah! Alert seem to kick in when we are in danger (or nearly) of too much stress and gone when Stress back to zero. Yet another reason to avoid total rest when you can. Manage your stress!
