I haven't played for a while (as in, ages ago, maybe 2-3y now? Real life lol) but Vernin was my fave. I have a vague recollection of loving my Vernin peeps lol. XD

I haven't finished Year 1 of my character (I keep on making new ones and I'm not exactly free now), but what about a background with a relative at the Academagia for Year 2. Like, younger sibling or something, with parental approval bonus. XD (Oh, and just wondering, has there been any fix for the Vista thing where you can't save your game? Because the latest patch still has that problem for me, and I'm saving every 1-2 days! =S)

I beg to differ. Phillipe gives Joana a run for her money for that title (and this being Joana, she probably would run in and beat him up - or, in the random event, gives him a kiss that knocks him out). He's been a pest in all the games (Joana not as often, heh, especially when I have Emilia P in my clique). Mer-stuff... I can see there being lots of mermaids, but not many that we meet. Which would make meeting one a great honor! Someone should write an adventure on that! BUT WE CAN STILL HAS SIRENS?

Legate: OK, CP38 did not work when I tried to load the same game (as the one I added before for ). It works on the game I created in CP37 and that opens perfectly (created while I couldn't access the game). I did everything, the 3 steps + admin running. =S

CAN WE HAVE SIRENS? Haha, I imagine they'd stop boys from following Neta, Emilia P. and Olivia! Also, merpeople are awesome except I can't imagine the hassle of incantation to make sure water's always around! XS HOW ABOUT LEPRECHAUNS? (Then I wouldn't need Isabeau in my clique! =P)

I think it was Consolidated Patch 28. I thought of that, and wanted to download the original one but it was taken down (because I deleted the original files for Patch 28). Hmmm, if that's the case, I'll wait for the next patch before trying the same saved game and see what happens. Thanks!

I didn't rapidshare it, but I put it on uploading (I hope it's not a problem, because it was easier for me to put it there instead of rapidshare). Even when I save and quit and then reload the game (post-DLC7 and most recent patch). It's only the games saved before I kept getting the error messages that can't load. I think it's a problem I have with deleting the cache. Every time I try to reload, the cache and GCC files immediately come back.

That doesn't work either.

Yes, those were the three steps. Unfortunately, they don't seem to work now.

Legate, if you remember, a few months ago I had the same problem when I updated to Patch 28 (like Tobin's, but you PM'd me about it instead). Recently I updated to the latest consolidated patch, and had the same issue after I played the game twice with no problems (leading me to believe the Vista issue back when I last visited was fixed... =P). HOWEVER, this time, neither of the three steps worked! I tried downloading the patch again and recopying it again and again, reinstalled .NET 3.5 SP1, restarted windows... To no avail. I did exactly what you told me last time as well (numerous times), but each time I started there were issues with loading previous saved games. Funnily enough, I can still create a new game (I haven't tried to save it so I'm not sure what's wrong). *utterly confused*

OH YES, I remember reading your take on it before! I loved reading the descriptions (as in when you put in for Morvidus): That was epic win. And yes, Vernin students are competitive, but at the beginning of the game I find that Aranaz or Morvidus seem to always snag Merit Prize I first. Maybe because I'm in Vernin? Haha, as you go on, however, I notice that I manage to get 6 points for a compete roll though; maybe we're just that competitive!

Avila, I would think is the college of Charm, if we judge by students, namely the most popular ones: Emilia Picotti, Olivia Solari and Cyrus Dawes. That one sticks out the most! Aranaz students strike me as ridiculously ambitious and intelligent. On the other had, I feel that Vernin has a few rather individualistic people. Yes, Catherine Chard is a bona fide snob, but Vincent Eins? Rixenda la Serena? I love those! You can get a general idea of the students here, I should think! That would give an idea of stereotypes (but since I haven't encountered EVERY character in the game I will refrain from making judgments)!

Just out of curiosity, I believe in the page 1 it was explained that Elumia consists of floating island above Cyve, and that Cyve is to our knowledge, inaccessible. If that is the case, how do they get water? I mean, the larger islands seem to have rivers, but the smaller islands, such as the Duchy of Thevre (which I plan my character to be from in a little project I am writing... - and is rather small) do not seem to have any body of water. Do they collect rain or is there another explanation? And if so, how do they get rid of sewage - magic it? Although they would be more advanced than I thought if they can collect rain.

Haha it's fine! Each time I start it always ends up with me unlocking some special ability sooner and learning more about the game, so it's more fun when I'm more familiar. Most RPGs have a specific ending, this one not so much, so the replay value is insane! Anyway, I do hope to finish up a game eventually!

I saw it on Gamezebo. It said something about Harry Potter and Earthsea, and I knew I liked both of these. Then I stumbled upon the walkthrough and I was like, whoa! So yeah.
