Using spells in adventures would be grand! Really grand! Having to cast spells before an adventure (because you tried, learned what you needed and then reloaded) always felt a bit off, especially if it was one of the more happy go lucky adventures. I'd wish you could tell more, but I'm patient and have a great deal of faith and fondness for the story that the team is creating, so I can wait. The problem as it stands is that you are likely not, in game terms, part of your clique, so just because your unwanted member hates you, it doesn't mean that he has any negatives with anyone in the actual clique, and thus has no reason to leave.

Welcome Feytala! I am a bit late, but better late than never... and I never did any crafting either - I did do some duels though (which was needed at the time to stop a bully)... I wish I still had my /puppyeyes but I fear it doesn't work anymore... *le sigh* still I got a lot of other things working for me, so I guess it is an ok tradeoff. Making mods, or just writing adventures or silly little events is always good. We have had some really good ones throughout the years, and more are always welcome! Either way, hope you'll have fun on the board

Albert, the Staff of the Eye is attained from an adventure that I wrote, but you are right, I hope to continue the adventure in later years. It will likely add a bit to the staff and a bit of backstory and a bit of total calamity the likes of which... *cough* I mean... Yeah, the staff might get better n' stuff, give it time. (And year two )

Thank you both for the replies. I wasn't thinking too much of our current year, but for all the demi-humans in other years and a few of the campus staff. How, then, would it be taken if a wizard glamoured himself to appear as another student or faculty member when he/she was found out? Am I right in assuming that getting away with a glamour of this kind (especially for first years) would be.... difficult? A last question (for now at least) how would the un-glamouring of the student happen? Are there wards in place that negate all magics? (I imagine quite a few would be sad to learn that their amazing gravity-defying hairdo just fell flat..) Is it a clever spell that the faculty deviced that only grants the true-seeing to themselves? .... What I am really asking, I suppose, is this: If I glamoured myself to look like a minotaur would the glamour then be stripped from me (publicly) or would I be pulled aside at some point only to be told to stop fooling around and get back to cleaning that gumdew explosion I caused a few days back?

Are there any holidays that are of special note to the people of Oursouk? (perhaps, that isn't mentioned in the game) Have there been any attempts to "mitigate" racial barriers between regular (human) students and faculty and the other humanoid students/staff at the school - or is it not needed? I was thinking of how unusual it would be for the minotaur to dress in school robes, or maybe even get a human-glamour to "fit in" when he goes to the cafeteria and such.

That leads me to consider if a familiar would be aware if their master was affected by a mastery spell. I seem to remember in lore that a young mage girl was mastered, but only realized it later. (I'll admit, I can't recall much of it, other than it was part of the grounds for dating being banned) In short: Do familiars know if their bonded mages are mastered?

3. Do Dragons have any color variations? I imagine the typical ones to be palish white to green, but you've mentioned at least one black one, so I'm curious. Yes, they come in many colors, and although a Dragon may have many colors, individual scales are always one color only. When I read "Yes,they come in many colors," my first thought was instantly a rainbow coloured dragon flaunting its magnificence The potion question was pretty clever, I hadn't considered that. Must be handy for those less-than-agreeable potions. That said, consider that you might be drinking flavour-enchanted fox-piss next time you drink any sort of juice at dinnertime... Is it possible through illusion to make a spell that lets you understand foreign languages? I imagine that mastery -might- be easier, but then again,.. I suppose giving commands to someone who doesn't understand you might not be worth a damn.

I can honestly say (not that I am generally dishonest.... really ) I'm looking very much forward to seeing that map! - Also playing the game of cause, but the map was a neat little thing that I had not even considered.

This will be a lot of random comments and questions. Questions in bold, 'cause no one would find them again otherwise. 1) We'll have a map? Sweet! Will the map show all the available/found locations too? (I'm thinking there are a whoooole lot of locations, even for a decent sized map, but I can hope... There are a few places where I'd love to see where they fit in relations to eachother) Its pretty nice to learn that the writing is done, even if editing and jamming it all into a game is time consuming it still gives a nice feeling, like it can't be much longer. (Don't argue this, my stomache needs the calm ) 2) I'd forgotten the weather was mostly/partly/maybe? controlled. Makes you worry about those student days... flashfloods, blood falling from the sky, updrafts in the streets where ladies walk with dresses... What is the worst "event" caused by students messing with weather magic? - if there is one. (And how long did it take to stop it?) 3) How much autonomy does the princes of the various parts of Elumia enjoy? Are they still bound by the old imperial rules/laws or have most of them reverted/moved on to their own? Being able to use gates to travel home quickly would be pretty sweet. Highly illegal and I would never encourage anyone to do it - obviously - but if you did you might want to be really good at lying to avoid permanent house-arrest. Just sayin' ~ I imagine Basia flipping tables and throwing about curses in her vacation time because someone had knocked her out for all of the exams and now she loathed EVERYONE in her year. You might almost feel bad for her. Almost. Look, all I am saying is she might want to work on her social skills for year two - or get even better at negation than certain other people are at incatation... Of cause we wouldn't have this problem if she didn't gloat about getting better midterm scores than me in history!

I've recently moved (again...) and this time I'm living fairly close to some Jehovas Witnesses, it disrupts a bit... but all in all I find it interesting (I'd say 'fun' but I hate to sound derogative). So naturally I thought of Academagia (like any sane person) and wondered how zealous people are with the New Gods. So... How often do your average minetan visit a temple to offer a prayer? A few times a day? a few times a week? less? How often do you have to go before you'd be considered pious? Is it normal to leave donations? Were the old Emperors also involved in the church? Are the princes who remain? As member of royalty, are you 'encuraged' to be seen being religious or is it pretty ok to just enjoy your own life and leave the afterlife to the priests? How much missionary work is around? - if any. (Have you heard the word of Isol the Queen of Men? Do you wish to be saved?! DO YOU?! DOO YOOUU!!! *door slams shut rudely interrupting the proceedings*) If there is missionary work, who does it then? I'm not thinking the people, but which faith? the old gods who hope to cling to the present? or the new gods who vie for supremacy. Also, no year two yet? Which god do I pray to to expedite the process? ^^

How significant is the inbreeding of the Elumian nobility? Can it happen you end up marrying your cousins second son who was incidently sired by your own father or something (silly - hopefully!) like that? A thing that always bugged me about auras (other than the fact that mine seem to be unhealthy.. damned fortune tellers...) is that it would suggest that you "leak" energy or astral power or what have you. Leaking, in my dictionary, means losing though I suppose it might not be such... Say, Legate, would you happen to know if this aura is tied to how active or perhaps more directly, how inactive you've been with your magic? As in, do you produce som magic and when your body can't contain it anymore does it sort of leak until an equilibrium is established? Or is it the other way maybe, that the aura is created by the casting of spells?
