89157Z
I've made creative use of stress bonuses a couple of times, and I get that they're helpful. I don't understand how they work though. Can anyone tell me?
GunslingerV
I believe they just add to your roll. So investing 4 points of stress = +4 to your roll. I assume stress bonus only works if the letters aren't grayed out. Can anyone confirm?
89157Z
I know that stress bonus +24 reliably won every prize ever in the 'Grapple for the Crowds' action!

89157Z
I've continued to do this and accomplish great things by it. Something that has occurred to me is that Stress Maximum is very valuable. Stress Maximum is kind of how much "all" you have to throw in when you're betting all your chips on something. When Botany or Calligraphy give you +1 stress maximum from their Study Mastery, they're not just increasing your ability to keep your head in a crisis, they're also increasing your ability to move mountains in that crisis. One thing I don't understand is the interaction between Stress Bonuses and Adventures. Adventures let you spend stress on them, but what does it do when you do? Legate of Mineta
89157Z; I don't believe Stress works on Adventures, although I could be wrong. It doesn't work the same in Y2.
