Here is what you will need to do: 1) Navigate to your Academagia folder and delete the 'Mods' folder you'll find inside. 2) Download the latest Patch, and move the Mods folder from within to your Academagia folder, in exactly the place the previous Mods folder was. ...this should clear up the issue and enable you to play.
