Adrian
The written Assignment! You have finally finished it. The sweet wonderful scent of finished assignment is hanging in the air, just for you. Now, to hand in the damned thing before you completely lose your mind! You quickly find the class that you have to hand in the assignment and is slightly disappointed that the teacher is not there as was promised. You casually wonder if you could just leave it on the desk when you noticed the huge blinking letters on the blackboard. GO TO PROFESSOR BRIARDI AND HAND IT OVER For a moment you try to remember exactly where Briardiand would be just now while you try not to look at the blinking lines of chalk that seems to find it entertaining to make you dizzy by making intricate color patterns. You fiddle with your journal, flick a few pages and finally find what you were looking for. A time table for the teachers. Briardiand should have visiting hours in the negation classroom. Heaving a sigh you decide what to do. Exit1: No fail: Just handing it to Briardiand? Simple You hand it to Briardiand as you find her in the Negation classroom. She is talking to some second-years. She gives you a nod indicating that she noticed the assignment and you turn to leave. No effects. Inspect1: Study habits: Take another look at your report, something at the back of your skull is still nagging. Success: You were right to look it through one more time! Your obligatory just-for-the-added-hassle front page is missing. That is just great. Front pages are always the worst to fill out, but at least you know what you are missing. Opens exit2 and exit3 Failure: You look over the assignment, making sure you have dotted the i's and crossed the t's, spelled your name correctly and all the usual. Nothing seems amiss – though you still feel a nagging. How peculiar. No effects. Exit2: Library knowledge: Seek the file and fill it out. Success: After spending half an hour going through the hundreds of regulations and other useless nonsense you finally find the front page that you were looking for, and in a matter of minutes (feels like more, much much more) you are finally ready to hand it in! You head to the negation classroom and hand it over to Briardiand. She quickly goes over your assignment and beams delighted. “You actually managed to fill out all this?” She smiles widely, not really expecting a reply. “That is wonderful. It is good to know that there are still students that take their studies seriously!” + study habits + filing + relationship with Briardiand Failure: You find... something that resembles a front page. Who cares about that kind of stuff anyway? Who even reads that trash? Shrugging you fill out the page. At the end you are sure you filled out all the right answers. Your hight, weight and the last time you ate. You were a bit unsure whether you should mark that you could lift a chariot, as it of cause depends on the size, but you decide against it. Briardiand does not seem too pleased by the assignment when you hand it in, but she just shakes her head and throws it over her back to the large pile of other assignments that lie as they were thrown, scattered for the winds. - study habits + creativity exit3: Flattery: The easiest path would take you past the Students' Administration. Success: You find your best smile and approach the old hag sitting behind the counter. You explain your predicament to her and that she is the only one skilled enough in the difficult art of bureaucracy for your assignment to have a chance to ever get the recognition that it so deserves. She hesitates but you bombard her with kind words and before long she has not only found the front page but is also filling it out for you. Wonderful! + flattery + administration - stress Fail: You find your best smile and approach the old hag sitting behind the counter. You explain your predicament to her and that she is the only one skilled enough in the difficult art of bureaucracy for your assignment to have a chance to ever get the recognition that it so deserves. She hesitates but you quickly start buttering her up. She crooks her eyebrow but gets the file needed. Beaming with delight you thank her and quickly make up some pretty sentences to get her to fill it up. Sadly you are now having trouble keeping the stream of compliments going, and starts moving on to her more physical aspects – which is difficult! The old lady who has kindly been aiding you thus far looks up in surprise when you start complimenting her clothing, and asks where she bought the wonderful shoes. To your horror she gives you a hard look and with some difficulty moves to the side of the counter. She doesn't wear shoes... With a flourish she tears the paper she has been filling out and hands you the remains. “If you want a new front page you have to go to desk 32 and get fomular fourhundredtwentytwo dash seven! Now get moving!” She shoes you away from her desk. + flirting + flattery + 2 stress - temperance exit4: Passion: You track down your professor, the assignment is after all a masterpiece. Success: You manage to track down the professor who issued the assignment. He is in one of the meeting rooms. You knock on the door and enter without waiting for a reply. The professor is standing in front of a large number of strangely clad gentlemen (and women), everyone looking at you. You apologize the intrusion but continue unaffected by the crowd's frown. You explain just why this is a wonderful paper and why he should read it as quickly as possible, before the destiny cools off. (Everyone knows destiny works in heat.) Your professor is hesitating a bit, often casting glances to the others in the room so naturally you start a quickly improvised presentation. 15 minutes later you leave the room, quite exhausted but smiling all the same. Everyone seemed to like your presentation and the paper was a huge success. Later you learned that the group was actually the ones that had issued the assignment in the first place, to evaluate the enthusiasm of this years students. It is needless to say that you passed. +passion +wit + persuasion Fail: You manage to track down the professor who issued the assignment. He is in one of the meeting rooms. You knock on the door and enter without waiting for a reply. The professor is standing in front of a large number of strangely clad gentlemen (and women), everyone looking at you. You apologize the intrusion but you can't help but glance nervously to the crowd. In a less than imposing voice you say that the teacher really should read the paper. You start giving a small list of reasons why this is the case but you are asked to leave the room before you finish. The good news is that he kept the paper. + passion - confidence + stress
Legate of Mineta
Adrian; Very cool! I don't think it's ready for DLC 4, but maybe 5?
Adrian
it isn't ready for much at the current state. Once I get my assignment sent off I'll whip up some more exits and such. I don't mind which DLC it goes into though, either is fine =) Also, get better, we can't have the new gods getting down with a cold!
Adrian
New update on this one. Hope it can be used. Had intended a more playful exit as well but... meh, difficulty finishing it up in a decent manner.
