Adrian
Hi all, I figure that since we have so little time (or rather, it takes a rather long time actually discussing in game) we could speed it up a little by doing it here and try to convince eachother the best cause of action. I'm not saying we should go with whatever we decide, as the situation is likely to change, but it has been said that "Plans are worthless, but planning is everything." I hope to do this in-character(ish) - meaning in character if possible, but if you are not present then feel free to offer insight regardless. I'm tempted to say we can dispense with small quirks (like stutter, god damn why did I make a guy with a stutter...?!) but thinking upon it I realize that it does give more personality... I'm not going to play police so if this degrades to plain old tactics and planning then so be it. The Crown Jewels Silas; "We have been fortunate enough to find a priest willing - and able - to wed Edith and me. It seems that Saint Edward has somehow spoken to the priest telling of our need." Silas looks around, though perhaps mainly to Baruch. "I think that now, with the wedding all but assured, we can focus on the next part, on how to speak with Edith's father, or failing that, Polandus (The wolf we met, guardian of Saint Edmund's Head) who might know more of what we are to do with this crown..." "Sadly, there is a hole in this plan - while I know a spell to speak with the deceased as long as they have not 'passed on', which I do not think Edith's father would be able to do - we still do not know exactly where he is buried or if need be, how to find Polandus, though I suppose he might be near..." (Given that the Saint apparently speaks to the priest's here...) "While I know some intellego magics, I do not have the skill to use Edith's arcane connection to her father to find the tomb I am afraid, so suggestions on how to proceed is welcome!" (Edith might know where they are likely to bury him though.."
Schwarzbart
Ramon is probably still shoping when you get to Baruch with this questions.
Adrian
Heh, it was meant more as a chance to discuss than have it run 'inside' the story. So if Ramon (or you) have ideas then feel free to make them. I know that you'd prefer to return to the City of Ivory and Jade which does have merit. This is just a chance for everyone to discuss/monologue together, and give the reasons their characters would for presenting the ideas.
Wits
"I suppose we could simply fly above Libellus and see if we can find a graveyard of some kind - they must have put the bodies of all the people who died in the dragon attack somewhere nearby. Even if we gain access to the graveyard in this way, though, we might not be able to tell the which grave is Edith's father's."
Schwarzbart
"Remember the Alarm when we haved to get the flying boat back!" "Thats why I dont think we should fly to close to Libellus to not triger this alarm. Also didn't you tell about a Fearie King be part of the Covenant? That might make it even more difficult to spy the surunding area undetected!" "Have you considered asking the chicken king if he know where the covenant bury theyr dead humans?" Adrian
"Ah right, I had almost forgotten about.... ergh,.. the Chicken king. Perhaps Momo can aid us if we get into trouble with the fay, or maybe get aid from them... - regardless, I don't think flying over the covenant is a good idea. They would notice us I think, and even if we find the grave then we would still need time to speak to the ghost - preferably without all of Libellus hunting us." Adrian
The Barcelonan Book Retrieval I was wondering if people would be interesting in discussing how they would receive the guards when they come, and perhaps what they (plan to) do until then. Bashir's reception of them varies quite a bit depending; If they buy Aiden's ghost story (hey, they might know the place is haunted but figured that if you get horrible mutilated you might deserve it) then that is good! If they don't buy Aiden's story, then they must think that we did it or that someone beside us did. Bashir might try to give the illusion of worth by commenting that he has a message for the head of covenant. If they primary suspect one of us, very much try to give the illusion of worth, perhaps even bribe if it is done as a one-on-one and the guard look corrupt. If they suspect Bashir, I think he'll do a bail, perhaps snatching the piece of paper in his room and jumping out the window running like the legions of hell was after him - it works with the guards from Ivory and Jade His plan until the guards arrive: Look at the coin bag in his room behind the bar'ed door, pick up the most valuable part of it to reduce the actual weight to only 1kg or so. Can't sneak around with 10kg loose coins on your person. If things die down in the hall he might try to climb back into the dead-man's room and plan the coin purse under the bed or something and then climb back out and into his own bedroom for some rest. Schwarzbart
Ahhhmmm the guards already arived when we ended the game last week so there is no longer time to plan ^^! And no one covered up the bloody footprints you leaved.
Wits
Baruch is not expecting to be accused at all, because the situation seems to render such a suspicion unlikely - two magi could have disposed of a mundane less conspicuously. He'll probably call for magical interrogation if it comes to that.
Adrian
Oh, meh, I didn't pay enough attention. Not so much worried about the footprints, more about the 10kg coin purse to stash away. Ah well... Humm... Schwarzbart, are we directly below the roof or is there one more floor?
Schwarzbart
From the front it is a 4 floor building as fare you could see in the dark. (Momo and Aiden could tell you its actual 6 floors but they didn't mention the illusion)
