diggery
Hello, I have a couple of question on capers. What does it mean when an obstacle is red? Also it seems like some of the obstacles don't happen if I choose the right choice during the adventure, is there any way to tell what can be skipped? thezooqueen
If it is red you can not get past it unless you are successful. I do not know the answer to your other question sorry
Legate of Mineta
Diggery; For the second part, no, unfortunately. We never came up with a good graphical way to show that an Obstacle could be bypassed. Maybe in 1932!

Legate of Mineta
sorrow; Yeah, there are a bunch of ways we experimented with, but the problem is even knowledge that an Obstacle can be missed is less than useful once you are in the story. We're thinking some indication needs to be made at the menu choice level, so you can choose more carefully, if you want to see those parts of the Story. Good suggestion, though! diggery
Maybe do both? That is, note the parts that can be skipped in, say, green, and when you get to the point in the caper also note the specific choice that will bypass the obstacle in green. Legate of Mineta
diggery; Definitely a way to approach it in 1932. We'll see!
