What improvements for the The Negation Wand in Year 2?

The Legate mentioned that we will be able to improve the True Holly Negation Wand trough the years because people mentioned hat they think its weak.

As I was the writer of this adventure I suspect I'm at last partial responsible for the continue and so I wonder where you think in what direction the wand should evolve!

(Personal I think the Negation Wand is still superior to the Balanced Wand at last for a Negation Magic specialist because the wand add to all SS and also to the main skill resulting in a +2 to the main skill)

Theory of Negation 15 thanks to Ana Flavia + 3 Protective Mind Set +1 True Holly Negation Wand +1 what is a great value to use in Revision of Skills

Well, I think that most items found in Y1 are probably on the weak side if we're going to look at all 5 years. I intend to increase the capability of the wand of insanity in mr pebbles' Y2 adventure even if it's already pretty powerful for a Y1 item.

The thing about the handcrafted negation wand is, (and I did enjoy the adventures) is that compared to the balanced wand it's crafted and customtailored for you. Unlike the Balanced wand that's vendor bought. There is also a vendorbought Negation wand out there that's fairly decent that adds a lot of things.

This all brings me back to the a new girl adventure, where we're told it's more difficult to use another wizards wand than your own, following that logic a wand that you created using your own magical powers and preferences should offer better attributes to just about any action compared to a wand bought at a supermarket.

Even if they are created in the most neutral possible way with the ability to attune to the user uppon taking posession. It still shouldn't be in the same league as an item you create on your own that's infused by your own magic and flavor.

Least that's my reasoning. A skilled crafter would gain an advantage here but that would requier them to spend the time to learn the required skill to create the artifact to begin with. Time that could have been spent perfecting other skills and abilities. The better the artifact the more skill they will need to create it. Which makes it understandable that as your skills grow, you realise that there is more you could do to make an even better wand or improve the one you got.

Now one also can reason the other way around, its the first wand you crafted and so its worse then a wand crafted by a good enchanter who usually can sell them trough a store.

Beside that you also got a lasting passive ability from working on the wand!

But its a good idea for a adventure in year 2 or 3 to attune the wand to you what rise the power of this wand for you and just for you.

I was thinking the same about attuning your wand in later years.

If you got a wizard in the family they might tell you about it.(background) which would then happen durign your summer, surely they would want to help you, they might want some help in exchange though.

If you havn't, students in your class or teachers might talk about it, if it isn't part of a class but you are given the idea then you can study the details in the Library, (adventure after the school starts again).
