Schwarzbart
1) Have you all the Phemes that are needed to cast the Strengthen Will spell? 3) Temporary SS Bonus dont affect the Skill level so If you in need to improve the Skill level temporary you must do it direct. Legate of Mineta
Bullwinkle; We'll review Cultivate, thanks! (And thank you, Schwarzbart!)
Bullwinkle
Yes, thanks, Schwarzbart. Turns out I was missing one of the phemes. I didn't realize that was possible when given a spell. I also didn't realize that improving SS magically wouldn't affect the S. Now I have to figure out how to collect specific phemes.
Raide
Succeeding "Try to Solve the Block Puzzle" Ability doesn't seem to add 5 Merit Points even though it's written at the description.
Schwarzbart
You get a success message because the skill increase is automatic this dosnt mean that you actualy solved the puzzle.
Raide
I see. Additional information about whether you fail/succeed the actual puzzle (not the activity) might help since right now it's still vague.
Legate of Mineta
Raide; This is a known issue with the engine- automatic successes (whether positive or negative) count as a general success, and the reporting can't distinguish between that and Rolls. I can't say for certain it will be corrected in Year 1, certainly in Year 2, however.
Raide
At Calendar whenever I put any "Study at the Library of Longshade" or "Put to Paper" and click next, I got "System error occured. Application will be terminated." Dunno if there are more crashing Abilities.

Legate of Mineta
Raide; Schwarzbart is correct- please update to Hotfix 7b, and the issue will be solved: http://academagia.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=965 ...thanks! Raide
Alright it's resolved. Thanks for the notice.
Legate of Mineta
Raide; Good. Enjoy the game!
Bullwinkle
I'm not sure if this is a bug or just the way things are reported, but I notice often that after I use a particular ability that does not have a cooldown period (e.g. Drop in on the Professors' Lounge), it says 'You have lost <ability>'. However, I have not lost that ability as far as I can tell; I can still use it the next day. I get reprimanded for skipping detention when I'm stuck in the infirmary. Also, Positive Alteration of Organic Matter doesn't let me choose a target; it sets me as the target and won't let me change it!
Legate of Mineta
Bullwinkle; The first is a product of how your Ability 'cools down' the reporting is slightly off. The second is bad behavior of the Instructors and will be changed- but because the fix would require save game compatibility to broken, we are approaching it slowly. The last...which version of the game are you using? You can view this by pressing F12 and looking in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Thanks! Bullwinkle
It says Client v1.0.7.0; Publisher v.0.63.3.0; Content: 1.0. I've applied Patch 7 and Hotfix 7b to allow the use of the Library of Longshade.
Bullwinkle
I found a strange bug which I can only occasionally replicate. On one day, I cast Revision of Skills, go on an Adventure (Sneak into the Imperial Reserve!), and Consult the Artifact Registry (Big. Piece. Of. Wood.). I get sent to the infirmary for failing the Athletics test in the Adventure. The next day, my entire calendar for the rest of the year has every slot except Exams set to Rest. Going through the next day resets the calendar to normal. I do get reprimanded for skipping class on that day, though.
Legate of Mineta
Bull; Thanks! I've just reviewed the content- the Spell Description is incorrect in this case- the Damage Target is Self, and it will correctly state so in DLC 2. For the other issue, I believe that will be closed in Patch 8.
Bullwinkle
This may be a limitation of the engine, but when replacing one skill with another with Revision of Skills, the difficulties for the event options don't change their colour coding according to the new value. Legate of Mineta
Bullwinkle; I believe that we can correct that, actually. Thanks for pointing that out!
Bullwinkle
The description for the Alteration of Inhuman Matter spell claims you can't cast it more than once a week, but I was able to cast it on a second item the very next day.
Legate of Mineta
Bullwinkle; Ah! A relic of the design from years ago. Originally Spells did have cooldowns, but we did away with that. We'll get this Description updated for DLC 2. Thanks!
Bullwinkle
So no spells have cooldowns? I'll be on the lookout to see if any of the other descriptions still claim there is one, then. The School Conquest spell is supposed to add +6 to School Survival and +4 to several subskills. It adds the bonuses to the subskills correctly, but ends up adding +6 + 3(+4) = +18 to the parent skill!
Legate of Mineta
Bullwinkle; That is a known reporting issue- we should be able to close that in Patch 8. Thanks!
Bullwinkle
Is the bonus to current Vitality from the spell Steel Blood supposed to last more than 3 days? My max Vitality has dropped back to normal, but my current Vitality remains enhanced beyond the max.
89157Z
Hmm, I suppose I should confess that I often use Cleanse and Remake to massively boost my vitality max, rest, and then not worry about vitality for several months. It didn't occur to me before seeing the post preceding this one that I was exploiting a bug.
