Monteverdi
Let's say you get a skill, such as Deception, up to 20. You check out your Inspirations for it--but how do you tell which are the new, better Inspirations that came with hitting that magic 20? I don't see any means of separating the older, lesser cards from the newer ones, and the values listed on them appear no better. Or is it just that all the Inspirations for that skill have a better yield once you increase the skill by 10?
Legate of Mineta
Monteverdi; There's no specific way to see which is better, apart from looking at the Stats. You'll need to see the individual Inspiration you've been awarded to determine if you want to proceed with it, or try to get something better. Behind the Scenes, though, they all grow in power as they go along in level, so you shouldn't have too much difficulty in telling. If that answered your question? So what you're saying is that I don't need to bother writing down the names of older inspirations for a given skill, to separate out new ones that appear when I make another +10 in that same skill--since all of them (for that skill) improve at that point. Would that be correct?
Legate of Mineta
Monteverdi; Oh no- what I meant was, the only way to tell is to compare their stats. As you go up in Level, you'll see an increase in power in the newer Inspirations.

As you go up in Level, you'll see an increase in power in the newer Inspirations. So to find the newer Inspirations that appear after a Skill rises by a Level, compare the stats of each Inspiration by mousing over them. Is that correct? Would be nice if they had some very slight color coding or highlighting (or even just a color-coded dot on top of them) to make newer Inspirations stand out, though. Would save on the tedious process of mousing over a lot of Inspirations.
Legate of Mineta
Agreed- a little icon would be nice! I don't think we could update it in 1931, but it's a good suggestion.
Esper
There is something I have been wondering. What adds bonus to the relationships skills? Stress, wits, knowlegde, charms and dreams are easy to figure out since they have an obvious attribute (or whatever we call them), but the relationships leave me wondering. Not that it is ever a problem to get those high up. I am just a bit curious.
Miyakitt
I think it might be relationships with others? Maybe it goes by who you have the highest one with Just guessing here, though.
Grunthex
As Miyakitt surmised above, it is based on your highest relationship score. So if Evelyn is at 35, Anna at 29, and Sterling at 4, you take Evelyn's 35 (which makes your bonus +3)
Perles75
Speaking again about the rate of arrival of new and better inspirations... are there specific thresholds that mark the coming of new inspirations associated to a skill (i.e. from 0 to 10 you have the basic inspirations(s), from 11 to 20 some of the old ones, the weakest, are withdrawn and some more powerful are added, etc.), or is it completely random? or it depends on the skill?
Legate of Mineta
Fortis; Correct- it's every 10 levels.
Perles75
Is the level 0 separate?
Legate of Mineta
It is, yes.
Grunthex
I don't think I ever asked this. Do the "old" inspirations ever come off the list? So if I've got say 50 Problem Solving, do I still have a chance of pulling the old 0-level inspiration? If they don't come off, I assume they're weighted in favor of the newer ones? I know it's a bit spoilery, but any hints in this direction would be appreciated!
Legate of Mineta
Grunthex; They do indeed come off the list, but you can get the Inspirations of your current level -1, though.
Grunthex
That's reasonable enough. Not quite predictable, but not totally random. I accept your offer!
Perles75
Predictability is boring! So, if I understood correctly how they work, basically with levels 0-9 you get one inspiration type of card only; with levels 10-19 you can get a new one and the 0-9 possibility (that is you can get 2 different inspiration cards, more or less randomly); with levels 20-29 you get a new one and the 10-19 old one, and so on? But in some cases I see you can get up to three different inspiration cards for the same level, does it mean that some levels introduce 2 new cards? Legate of Mineta
Fortis; Not quite- the range isn't strictly -1, it can 'bleed' with low probability into earlier categories, too. But in general, for any given level, you are most likely to see only 2.
scorlight
Hello, I have a question here. They say that higher Dream points will increase the number of Inspiration cards. But exactly how many point does it need? I increase all of Dream skills to 20 but nothing change
Legate of Mineta
Scorlight; Firstly, only your current Dream matters (the default is Dream of Family), and it's every 10. It should not be possible to raise every Dream in a single game, though...I am not quite sure what you mean by increased them all?
scorlight
Oh, I mean I raised all Conscience, Courage, Patience, Resolve and Hope skill to
Legate of Mineta
Scorlight; Ah, understood. Unlike Academagia, the 'sub-skills' don't really determine the Parent's Level- you can only raise Dream by succeeding on the appropriate Capers. But you'll get Hand Size expansions every 10 points of Dream, as I recall. Have fun!
