Wellington99
Sharn and Gneissenau are battlecruisers, not battleships

DrYuriMom
And as Kongou-sama made abundantly clear in her interview, she's a BB in 1939. :-) I'd also argue for the sake of clarity that the Commonwealth ships be listed under Britain, possibly in subcategories by nation, since that is how they will be presented in game. Sorry Kits.
Käpt'n Korky
In german literature Scharnhorst and Gneisenau are, due to their size, without a doubt battleships. With a displacement over 30.000 t they are very much doubtless no cruisers. In comparison the biggest german battleship the Tirpitz had over 44.000 t, and the smaller Admiral Graf Spee had only around 15.000 t displacement. The distinction between battleship and battlecruiser is made at around 30.000t which makes Kongou-sama a battlecruiser until she was refitted in 1936 and gained a bit (but please don't tell her I said that). Due to this measurement the Hood sometimes becomes a battleship in our books, even if she was classified as battlecruiser. ^^" Different countries, different conventions as we say. I agree with you Admiral Korky. Some books give different conflicting information about the class of ships and reminds Gordian Knot.

Käpt'n Korky
@Legate of Mineta Most honourable Legate, may I make a suggestion to pin this thread permanently as the first in this sub-forum? It's incredibly useful but always moving around. That's bothersome I think. Best regards, KKorky

TwoHeavens
USS Sculpin (SS-191) was hard confirmed as active and engaging Morgana forces encroaching on the salvage site of USS Squalus (SS-192), and HMS Vampire (D68) was all but confirmed in the latest update. Legate of Mineta
TH; Sculpin is only confirmed in the sense that she has a Belle- but she is not available in '39, which is why she was left un-Redacted. Confusing, I know.
