Impet
When selecting your major classes, you are informed on how the class is graded. That doesn't currently appear to have any meaning within the game mechanics, do you already know when (or if) the type of grading system might affect the game for us? Legate of Mineta
Impet; Yes- grading systems do not mean anything to you in Year 1 (apart from possible Detention as a result of poor performance on the curve on your mid terms). When you return to campus in Year 2, you will be academically evaluated.
Impet
On behalf of almost your entire PC student body, letting you know we are most eager to be graded when the time comes!
Legate of Mineta
Just do not yell at me if you fail!
Impet
Huh? Only if failing doesn't make sense. On the contrary, I'm much more likely to tear up my grades and throw them about the forum in a swarm of bug-shaped confetti if I seem to be passing when I believe I should have failed
Legate of Mineta
Impet; Sounds like a plan.
shin
Hmm.. I wonder what will happen.. will the good students get to take advanced courses, and the bad students remedial? Heheheheh. Nothing like being on the track for valedictorian.. Or the school's #1 Dunce..
Legate of Mineta
Shin; It will be possible to have to repeat courses, but the more likely result is that you simply will not have access to the seminars.
Sabin Stargem
What are the consequences of skipping classes? I am considering dropping my attendance to classes in favor of adventuring and stat building, but if that would make me get detention or lower my Exam scores, I might have to reconsider. Legate of Mineta
Sabin; There are two consequences to Skipping Class: 1) You have a steadily increasing chance of being Reprimanded 2) You miss out on the occasional Class Perks. Your Exam scores are entirely dependent on your Skills and Study Level, and are not tied to Classes at all.
Sabin Stargem
Are the Class Perks the spells, lore, and phymes learned? Is there any other possible perks?
Legate of Mineta
Sabin; The Class Perks are Expand Skill Steps. I believe there are a few other minor Perks, but otherwise...you are taught more or less according to the book.
Schwarzbart
I hoping that be the best in all your Classes in the End Exam will give you a nice bonus in year 2 . (A Simple 3 step increase to your Skill via Spell is all you need for this )
Draigh
Are there any Class Perks that are unavailable in another way?
Legate of Mineta
Draigh; Not to my knowledge, no.
Torolf
Well, I have noticed sometimes (and more towards the end of the year) that attending class can grant you increases to a class subskill maximum level. I've had Theory of Negation at level 15, for example.
