freespace2dotcom
Are you tired of doing all the calculations for whether your Academagia student is the best or not? Do you even know how to do so manually? If you don't want to do this yourself, this gradebook is for you! All you have to do is input the data from you and your classmates mid-term and final exam data (found in the daily reporting on exam days) into the tan cells. It supports all classes, all colleges, and also allows for ranking all of the students in Y1. Version 1.74 (For the last releases of Y1, DLC 16+) http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=55774609988905557852 An example of a class sheet. This is the overall sheet, which allows you to compare all of the students in your year to see how they are doing!
Legate of Mineta
Flore. I guess that's not a surprise. Asmita, though: too much cooking!
freespace2dotcom
Actually, I may have to tweak the Negation class sheet a bit more. With 29 students 10% failure rate is 3, not 4. I've been racking my brain to get a working formula in excel but I think that's a sign of lazy copying and pasting. If I make any new sheets I'll adjust that a little. I'd say it's still ~95% accurate.
Dreamweaver
Nice, I think I'll try filling it out when I get that far, it's almost the same classes I have. Out of curiosity what ratings are required to avoid failing when it's Pass/Not Pass or Distribution? As I understand it the effects of each rating is set in stone with those rating methods. It seems the cut-off point is 40 for distribution in your document, was that stated somewhere?
Schwarzbart
The Legate mentioned the Grading System recently and its already over at the wiki Grading Method Edit: So Pass no Pass is 50% not 40% but apparently not affected by Study! While Distribution is below 40% to fail
Dreamweaver
The Legate mentioned the Grading System recently and its already over at the wiki Grading Method Ah, right it mentions pass/not pass. It doesn't say anything specific about the exact rating required to not fail with the distribution rating. It just says 75+ means First Class Honors. Edit: Nevermind I missed part of it for some reason.
Schwarzbart
Distributing Rating is pure Council distribution what means you fail below 40% Also only for Hybrid Distribution and Curve its interesting how much you get past 75% because for all other systems you get First Class Honors or Pass if you get 75% or better. freespace2dotcom
Just a heads up I did some more calculations and it turns out that Flore and Corradin should have passed. (juuust barely) I'm too lazy to upload a new version for just that, but the fix is only required for Negation. As is the hybrid distribution formula for rating honors is: =IF(AND(G24>=75,H24<=2),M2,IF(AND(G24>=60,H24<=10),M3,IF(AND(G24>=50,H24<=21),M4,IF(AND(G24>=40,H24<=24),M5,M6)))) What you want to do to fix that is change it to look like this: =IF(AND(G24>=75,H24<=3),M2,IF(AND(G24>=60,H24<=12),M3,IF(AND(G24>=50,H24<=23),M4,IF(AND(G24>=40,H24<=26),M5,M6))))
Schwarzbart
I might do something like your calculation my self when I hit the final exams with Angelik. Because its usually easier for me to do this mathematic my self then adjust the calculations of someone else.
freespace2dotcom
I hear you. The hardest part of it all is pulling the data out of the game. If I can make some more sheets though, you won't need to do any calculations, just data entry, which you'll have to do anyway since there's no way to automatically pull that from the game. Right now its just mostly geared toward my fellow Aranaz students who are magic heavy but I might possibly if unlikely do this for all the Y1 classes. edit: fixed the Negation grading issue and average issue. uploaded already and replaced the link. Svinik
Hmm, I wonder how students we'll be losing from Academagia - factor in the losses to the courts from random acts of youthful exuberence and expulsions over Gates/Mastery to the dumped duffers and students may be thin on the ground by year

Adrian
No no Creme, I think you got it, that is certainly the way to stop people from dropping out of class. And a way to get them to study. And a way to more than tripple your allowance! And keep the dorm rooms clean (yours at least!)... I mean.. *cough* I believe I had an appointment somewhere. Svinik
The perception gap between "fellow students" and "prey" is insufficiently wide for some of my classmates An extra dose or two of Professor Storey's ethics detention class mayhap? MadHatt
Kurt gets First Class Honours? Kurt!? What sort of game are you running here, Free? Man, I should make a spreadsheet like this of my own for the classes. I know that my characters pass, but I'll have to keep an eye on everyone else so that they'll pass too. Welp, Mastery, here I come. Legate, are there ways to redo exams? Like in college where you can take a class again or retake an exam during the summer or just generally catch up? Maybe on your parents' funds, maybe because of an amazing grade in another subject, maybe a teacher likes you? You can't have a "you're out" on the first strike can you? And since the classes are so graded, a few of them are bound to fail.
freespace2dotcom
Well, in updating my file I accidentally deleted the data. Otherwise I'd show you...To be fair, kurt did not do so well in his other classes. At least in my game, so cut him some slack. I'm sure it had something to do with briardi looking after her flock. Legate of Mineta
Hatt; "Legate, are there ways to redo exams?" There aren't ways to redo the exams, but if your parents have sufficient clout with the Regents, there are ways to excuse a Student from certain results. MadHatt
Tough school, this. Now I'll have to plan on Mastering only rich kids with influential parents. Make them fail... This could be a wonderful "Taking over the world" simulator. One student at the time.
Svinik
I just hope the Marchant family don't have this Given that papa Marchant is on trial and needs a certain heroic young 1st year Hedi students help in one adventure I expect not - but then we seem to have a lot of Marchants at school and clout is something that they all practice heavily. freespace2dotcom
I actually bothered to update this to support most classes now. (except music and athletics.) please report any bugs with it.
Dreamweaver
So I've been filling in the results because I'm a bit curious. Just half-way through the midterms so far, but I noticed you had not included Neta Xemutre in the Botany class, and Sheary Warrington did not show up as having attended exam in my log. I thought the teachers would drag them there no matter what? I assume that means he got a 0 on the midterm, or was it just my log not writing his result properly? Also in Geometry you didn't write Courtenay de Surval, but you wrote Aveline who doesn't have that class. Great bit of work though. I think It's nice to see who is on top in each class.
