Legate of Mineta
SpF; Well, you can role-play anything you like.
dyrhet
It's not textually well-supported, but there's the ol' gay person fallback of ferocious headcanoning at least. I think there are a few gay students in game now, not that you can really tell in year 1.
Schwarzbart
Because the students are still to young to already have romantic interests there only few actions in that direction and they are mostly limited to the opposite gender for the player. For adventures its even worse as you need to take the background Prodigy: On the Prowl and play a Avila char to have some special romance adventure and they are again only with the opposite gender. But it was promised that in year 2 we will see some more romance and this time not limited to the gender, so we have to wait and see if there are really some same gender relationship are possible and who the student are that have such interest with the player. Also don't forget that its best if you do the adventure of the student your interested in already in year 1 and bring the relationship past 10. ronikai
Also fair to mention that the characters are still kids, so romance isn't exactly the main focus. Excluding a few exceptions... Darn Joana *grumble grumble*
Metis
I think there are a few gay students in game now, not that you can really tell in year 1. Per Mikka's info (IIRC) Antonio is gay, and Aaran is bi. For the record, there's an equal amount of lesbian options - Louis and Miya.
dyrhet
Sucks that the boys are much cooler characters than the girls but that's life.

CremePudding
Sucks that the boys are much cooler characters than the girls but that's life. To be fair, the girls are doing quite a good job. HeatTalon
Eh, when all you have is a hammer-shaped perfume bottle... I am seeing a new line of weapons for the socially conscious fighters. Stab someone, open the compartment in a dagger and spray some perfume.
Adrian
...That would also account for fantasy armor from various games! Hmm makes me wonder if you meant using the perfume on the now-corpse, HeatTalon, to cover up the blood smell... If that is the case think of all the accessories that could be sold to the socially conscious assassins. They can't just kill someone, clearly: They have to make sure that the now-dead fellow they just brutally backstabbed is placed graciously in bed, clothed properly (to cover up the indecent amounts of blood and guts spilling from the gaping hole in his back). Then there is the grooming, what if the targets hair is in disarray after the sudden drop to the floor head-first? What if the target didn't shave?! Further more there is all the cosmetics, what if the meeting with the floor made the face-powder uneven, or the lipstick smeared? No no. That won't do. If you are a truly discerning and ruthless killer, you cannot just make your targets appear as plebs found on every streetcorner, they must be princes! (or at least dressed as such!) - And this is where we can help you! Dr. Dilletrius Filaxter's Socially Acceptable Assassins Kit, containing all the necessary parts to pretty up the corpse after you murderized them. Adrian
... I hope not, I really hope not! That said I think we might have derailed yet another thread. sorry!
freespace2dotcom
Hmm, well, would possessing a body of the opposite gender via Mastery be considered gay then? Because no matter who you liked at that point, there's bound to be a lot of awkwardness to go around... What's that? I disrailed the thread in a different way? Well.. Adrian
I suppose some might consider it a gay old time prancing around in someone else's body!

Schwarzbart
Isn't anatomy something we learn from our first teacher of gate magic if we use the secret school path? So gender studies is at last indirect part of the gate magic we learn
